Walking in Ampthill, England - 4K - Historic Bedfordshire market town

A walk through the Bedfordshire market town of Ampthill.
Located south of Bedford, Ampthill is known for its Georgian architecture, Ampthill Great Park, and its annual music festival.
We begin our walk on Church Street, passing by several Georgian buildings. After stopping to take a closer look at St Andrew’s Church, we make our way into the town centre, where we come across the town pump. Making our way along Woburn Street, we pass picturesque thatched cottages, before making our way down the tree lined Alameda. We finish our walk by the town’s Cenotaph.

I lived in Ampthill in willow way in 1991 till i was 14 and i have alot of great memory's there plus i was in foster care. Im now thinking of moving back in a month to live there for the rest of my life.

I was born and bred in Ampthill (1965), it’s so sad to see how it’s been spoilt by development, I can’t believe the lovely water meadow off Gas House Lane has been built over. All the other estates built around it have just spoilt what was a beautiful little town and community, a victim of its own lovely ness 😥

Echo that sentiment entirely, mate. I used to love going up through the fields near gas house lane an spending a good hour going through to the edge of Ampthill Park, just soaking in the sun and the nature on a nice Summer's day, same with the field entrace at the bottom of Oliver street that spat you out just outside of Redborne- Now everything is cookie-cutter houses, marketing suites, more Barratt building eyesores. Real shame.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart who made this beautiful video I'm actually crying as I was born in the beautiful mansion by the church dynevor house I lived there for first year of my life alexandraobiago xxxxxxxx isn't the village so gorgeous I was born there on 30th January 1963 as my parents rented part of the house from the landlady of the house ms Dumbleton our next door neighbour was the most famous archetec sir albert richardson xxxxxxxx thank you so much for making the video

Yes I was born in the stunning house as I had mentioned earlier then four months later was christened in that lovely st Andrews church x
