I am a lifelong Alaskan and a river runner. I love rivers and being on them. I got to tell you I really enjoy watching your videos especially in the winter here, makes me long for the sun to come back and the frozen rivers to thaw out so I can get back out there.
You know I'm 53 and have been camping all my life.and I learn a lot from your shows and your brother.one thing I learned from you guys is putting the tent up.with the pole.i used to lay the poles doun on the ground and hook the clips on the pole.i saw how you guys put your tent poles so there put in all four sides so the poles are bent or bowed and THEN you hook the clips on to the tent poles.man it makes putting up my tent so much easier especially when your drunk .lol
When I first was being taught the art of canoeing by my uncle, my sacriest minutes in a canoe was as we approached some rapids and I heard "OH! SHIT!" from behind me and the command "paddle, paddle hard". I learned never take anything for granted, preparation and planning are very important. You exemplify that in your approach although you do live up to the adventurer moniker. It's good to know you carry an inreach
Finally! Lol. Was just thinking the other day....man when is Jim going to give us another episode. One of the very few folks I follow that I look forward to the content this much. Awesome stuff buddy
I was super disappointed when this showed up in my feed a few days ago, I started watching it, and it got pulled. Bummer! Anyway, thanks for posting. I hope your trip to the Yukon went well.
I really admire the work you put in to getting a great shot. All that camera set up is exhausting. You have a great eye and work ethic. Love your end results!
Also my favorite parts are when you guys cook both you and your brother and his wife.you guys will start cooking and it won't matter what it is it all looks good i get hungry and have to eat myself.except the oatmeal.but thanks for the cooking segments
you all prolly dont care but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost my password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Paul Yousef thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and Im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Finally! Man can you please put the next episode on Sunday ? Such a long wait, I can’t wait to see what happens next. You skill steering that canoe around the boulders, great work all around.
Amazing footage, narration and a first rate adventure. I can't imagine what's it's like to have this kind endurance, skill, knowledge AND film at the same time. You are awesome. Thanks so much.
I bought my first canoe in "73" and feel qualified to say , Jim, your one hell of a skilled canoest! Enjoyed every second of this! ~~~have you ever thought of making a sew on patch of your logo? I'd like to promote your adventures on my vest!~~~
Wow ! That 30 minutes felt like 10 , the music kept me on the edge all the way , wondering if super Jim would go throught the rapids in one piece 😲 . If I was a bear, " Beat it " from Michael Jackson would get me running the hell out of there too 🙄 . It's too bad you had a calendar to respect as there was some superb spot for fishing down the way 😕 Thank's for this awesome video !
Brilliant episode Jim, and that mouthwatering walleye fry up drool 😀! Was thinking abt that bear banger... I hope you carry when you're alone out there... practical for small game and scaring bears off. Thanks for all the stuff you bring us!
Awesome video Jim. Every week I can't wait to see the next episode. Better than anything else that is on tv. I will probably watch the entire series again, a few times, when they are all out. Thank you
Hey Jim when the bear showed up and you set off the bear banger I thought you were going into a full fledged Michael Jackson routine complete with the Moon Walk just to drive it off. .“Don’t ever come around here. So beat it, just beat it”
Great explanation on techniques/options on attacking a hazard, the best thing is to first know the reasonable limitations of ones skill set. Another great video on the series, thanks for sharing Jim.
I sit in my chair trying to lean the correct way as we paddle through those 1s, 2s, and more. Don't think I'm helping you but man sometimes it just feels appropriate to lean. Do enjoy your videos my man, stay safe and secure! Charlie
Torches with red lights, I find, are good for spotting eyeshine. They can just be head torches too, it seems the effective range of the red light is much further than the normal torch light. Then again you might not like knowing how many eyes are looking back 😱
I do 3 and 4 day adventures on our slow moving rivers here in Southeast Louisiana. No rapids, just a slow go. I paddle 25 to 30 miles a day. Your trips are very adventurous and I enjoy them a great deal. Also they're educational and I've learned a lot about rigging my canoe for safety. I'm 62 y/o, keep up the good work.
They told him, "Don't you ever come around here" "Don't wanna see your face, you better disappear" The fire's in their eyes and their words are really clear So beat it, just beat it. LOL another good video Jim.
Hats off to you my friend 👍, I love to see your Adventure video and enjoy it.. I'm a trekker to, I did lots of solo trek in my life, but not done anything like this.. I learned lots of things from your video... Love to see more Adventure videos from you.. I don't know you really believe in God or not, but I do.. I'll pray to him for you.. Lot of love to you my friend ❤️🙏.. I'm from India 🇮🇳, a city call Kolkata 🙏
I like some of the others was wondering when we would see the next episode in this adventure, funny how vested I have become watching this journey of yours and while you put in lots of hard miles and long days, and that doesn't even factor in how much work you put into getting the shots , setting up for them, moving cameras around and then going back to get them prepping them day in and day out... and then to still have to manage to do all the work around camp to get set up and eat and catch some sleep must make Jim one tired guy. But its been awesome going along and watching it all unfold
Wow Jim I stayed on the edge this whole video, fantastic. Thanks! 👏👏👍👍👍💯💯💯
I am a lifelong Alaskan and a river runner. I love rivers and being on them. I got to tell you I really enjoy watching your videos especially in the winter here, makes me long for the sun to come back and the frozen rivers to thaw out so I can get back out there.
