    Removing that dining table from the Salon is such a great idea and makes for an awesome entertainment area. If guests want to eat make them go to the outside table and eat where you can hose everything off. That or go to the sky bridge.

    I've heard it said that "Owning a yacht is like being a mechanic in exotic locations". Great video and great attitudes all around working thru the problems! I was grinning ear to ear watching you guys enjoy your new yacht, dreaming of the day when I can be doing the same. Can't wait for the next video and the next adventure!

    Have you looked into Ceramic tint for the Flybridge enclosure windows. You can get it in clear or tinted, it will stop a lot of heat from entering through the windows. I put it on my sliding door on my boat and it helped keep it a lot cooler.

    OMG Allen! Your videos always hit home. Please keep showing the realities of boat ownership. So many channels only show the sundowners and not the downers! It’s what makes your videos real! Great stuff and I so want to be you. Hope to meet up with you and your amazing family on the water some day. And thanks so much for the “Younger Next Year” endorsement. Such a great book brother from a different mother. I want to be you when I grow up! Lol. Enjoy and keep those great, relatable, videos coming! Stay safe and stay healthy!

    Welcome to our neck of the woods. Sarah and I grew up on Saint Simons Island and returned here in 2017 when I retired from United Airlines. I wish we'd known you were stopping by. We'd have loved to show you some of our favorite spots on the Island. Thanks for showcasing Jekyll, too. If we could get half the tourists on Saint Simons to visit Jekyll in the summer, that would be great. Great video.

    Did Dockmate get the boat configured for lateral movement? I'm really curious how that issue was solved, if it has been solved???

    • @thewanderinghillbilly
      @thewanderinghillbilly  2 роки тому +1

      interesting question..this is what I've figured out. let's say i wanna crab to starboard and I'm close to the dock. I simply turn the knob left...meaning Starboard forward and Port reverse. Turning the boat Counter. I simultaneously push the knob straight to the right enabling the Bow thruster to engage. Not a FULL crab to Starboard...but very effective. It's worked pretty well for me so far. thanks for watching!

    No doubt the technician removed the hose and clamp for easier access and forgot to tighten the clamp. Do yourself a favor and do your own oil changes. Oh, and the technician should be given two weeks off without pay.

      It's actually not that bad. Most of these issues are man made...simply because of not knowing the product we're dealing with. Remember, it's new construction. The first ones through the wall get the bloodiest! I LOVE this yacht. And it will be a treasure for our family for a long time.

      That’s been a challenge. We finally settled in at Hinckley. Very few places can fit this width of a boat and you don’t wanna be around shallow muddy water. Creates a lot of issues with intake.
