    Thank you so much for this video! It is exactly what I needed. Now to spend a day editing my pictures that are already on Etsy so they display better.

      Before you go make new edits check your shop and listings on few different devices to see if you have any issues! That is my recommendation!

    Thanks for the great video! It looks like this is only doable on a computer. I've looked and can't find the same "create design" option on the app. Can you verify, please?

    • @ByKristinaNicole
      @ByKristinaNicole  Місяць тому

      Hey! Yes, you can do it in the app. In the app you hit the + in the bottom center and once it opens up under create new there is an option to create a custom size there!

    without canva. Using another software to edit an art image. Do you do the resizing the entire canvas image or after you remove the background. Without the background the image will have less pixles, less file size. So which one is first before resizing or after removing the background...

    • @ByKristinaNicole
      @ByKristinaNicole  Рік тому

      in Canva you want your canvas to be 2667x2000 so even if you overlay a transparent image the custom size will be correct at 2667x2000px. Does that help? If it doesn't help feel free to email me at support@bykristinanicole.com and I can try to help.

    Thank you for this great information! We have subscriptions to Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva. What is the easiest way to resize pics while using iphone for product photography? Is there an easy preset that I could use?.... maybe even batch edit?

    • @ByKristinaNicole
      @ByKristinaNicole  Рік тому

      You can batch edit and resize in Lightroom! I have on my list to do a video of this!

    Oh joy oh Bliss!!!! Great info sooooo happy I found you just subscribed. I make crystal & stained glass sun catchers & can’t to find a way to product photo theses as they are long hanging. Getting whole piece in takes distance then details are lost & they are too long for lighting box. Is there any suggestions you can advise?

      @ByKristinaNicole  Рік тому

      Hello, love! Keep in mind that each image is an opportunity to showcase a specific feature or benefit! So while you want to have an image showing the product in full, you will have additional emails to showcase the most important details!

    Would you say jpeg is better than png? Thank you ❤

    • @ByKristinaNicole
      @ByKristinaNicole  Рік тому +1

      JPEG is typically needed to reduce the file size! PNG is fine but typically comes with a huge file size. So this would depend on what you start with! Check the metadata (info of photo) after you download to compare! If you need me to take a look let me know!

    I was just wondering if this applies to designs created in Canva as well? I keep getting a message that my svg files are too large for Etsy 😞

      This video is specific to uploading product photos to a listing.
      If you are referencing digital downloads that you are uploading and selling, the process would be different. AND my recommendation would depend on the type of product you are selling and how it will be used.

    I think this is the video I have been searching for, but I'm hoping you might be able to answer a couple questions for me. Some of my listings will need to show 4-6 images in the same frame because it is being shown as a set, but also will allow a buyer to purchase one item from the set. Hope that makes sense. So, I found an image I liked to use as a background and then I uploaded the file that already has the 4-6 images arranged the way I want them. Then I just place that file on top of the background paper I chose. Then I add any text that I need on it. Does this sound like what I am doing will work okay as long as I set the page to be 2667 x 2000 px in the beginning?

    • @ByKristinaNicole
      @ByKristinaNicole  Рік тому +1

      Start with a custom size in Canva 2667x2000px and then use that as your "Canvas" to insert the images/elements. Does that make sense and help?

    • @susanbradshaw5746
      @susanbradshaw5746 Рік тому

    Obviously Canva is limited but free to use for anyone. Please suggest an alternative to canva aside from Adobe Photoshop.

    What will be your first option to create product photos for ETSY?

    • @ByKristinaNicole
      @ByKristinaNicole  Рік тому +1

      If you are talking about what my favorite editing software is... that depends on whether you want to edit on your smartphone/tablet... then that would be snapseed! Editing on a computer my choice would be photoshop elements. It is a one time payment. But I personally teach about 7 different software depending on my student's needs.
