I don't think Bezos has the option to just blow up multiple expensive rockets. He is not government subsidized. If Space X didn't have access to so much tax payer money, they might be more cautious as well.
It really isn't as bad as you've described, it was the first launch of a vehicle that has a hydrolox second stage. Also, if you didn't go into it seriously not even somewhat expecting a scrub, then you've got no idea what you're talking about.

Blue Origin is not in the entertainment business, it will launch when the weather is favourable and all systems are nominal, why would anyone want them to launch beforehand? If people don't want to be disappointed, they don't have to watch. StartShip's first launch was delayed due to a technical fault, when it did launch three days later it destroyed the launch pad, failed to self-destruct on command and luckily self-destructed itself, if that were Blue Origin this channel would have considered that a failure, after all who would have though that without a water deluge system the launch pad in unlikely to survive. Space X's "Launch, crash, learn" methodology takes deep pockets. Space X is way behind its own schedule for landing man on the moon, I personally like to see both companies succeed (as well as Dreamchaser) but it seems there are lots of Space X fans that only want one company to have success.
This video brought to you by SpaceX. 🙄 Developing new rockets is hard and comes with significant delays if you want to do it safe. SpaceX has had their significant delays but you would never no it by watching this video.
Space is hard. If it were easy they would have done it. I think we should cut BO some slack here as they did have a fueled and ready to go rocket on the pad. Technical issues happen. Should have it taken this long to get to the pad? Hard to say. Probably not. But then they are taking a VERY different approach to this than Space X is. Wrong approach? I'll reserve judgment on that. They are taking what I call a "Charles Emerson Winchester" approach to rocket design. They won't move forward until the previous task has been executed perfectly. If this approach results in them sticking their landing on the recovery ship the first time... then one could argue that this approach was more efficient as far as lost equipment goes. If they crash this thing 4+ times trying to get their first landing... ... then it wasn't and taking a hardware rich approach as Space X did should be considered the norm. But as I said... I'll reserve judgment on this until I see the actual performance of what they have designed. I wish them the best of luck on their next attempt.

I watched....for an hour or 2. Evidently Blue Origin has no white males on staff. One reporter after another after another was female and DEI. To make matters worse, the broadcast was based on Spacex launches, complete w "clever snd cute-sy" names. When Spacex broadcasts, there are both male and females involved. DEI is not evident....only Meritocracy - and it shows. The level of analysis last night was disappointing to say the least. How can "both rockets be "reusable"" when BO hasn't flown yet? Just another projection of what they "plan" to do. Until NG actually flies and lands on their drone ship, there is NO comparison between them and SpaceX.
Luke Skywalker "what a piece of junk"
Should be called Blue Junk!!!!!!
I don't think Bezos has the option to just blow up multiple expensive rockets. He is not government subsidized. If Space X didn't have access to so much tax payer money, they might be more cautious as well.
luke skywalker "what a piece of junk"
Ugly, mean-spirited video. Doesn't even explain the problem.
What did you expect? Anything new has to go through everything as a first and they are taking care to get it right. Seems you don't understand much!
It really isn't as bad as you've described, it was the first launch of a vehicle that has a hydrolox second stage. Also, if you didn't go into it seriously not even somewhat expecting a scrub, then you've got no idea what you're talking about.
Will Jeff Bezos astronauts be expected to p in bottles to keep on schedule like Amazon staff.
Az őszinteség is vezethet sikerhez, ha még kényelmetlen is az elkényeztetett rajongóknak.
Jeff should sue space X again to keep starship on the launch pad until he is ready!🤣 As for BO , I give up , I'm not going to stay awake at night for nothing....
Ass.
Ah... Hold that thought...
The time is 6:43 p.m. on 1/13/2025, and the countdown clock is to start fuel loading in 47 minutes.
So...
Will it, or won't it... the wheel of fortune turns over and over...
Geoff should take a leaf from the soviet method. keep it secret till you succeed
Close the company, sell Bezos' yacht, and pay off the debts.
But they been waiting since 2016 to launch and so many delays it's a joke now
Should change their name to Blue Off Again
What a joke.
Maybe the should buy reliable engines from Elon.
This video brought to you by SpaceX. 🙄 Developing new rockets is hard and comes with significant delays if you want to do it safe. SpaceX has had their significant delays but you would never no it by watching this video.
LOL it will never launch....... blue orgin is out dated. SPACE X is 20-30 years ahead.
"Pierce. I do one thing very well and then I move on."
Why does the booster only have fins in one plane?
Bezos should just stick launching his carnival ride.
I'll stick with Space X, Naer Virgin nor Blue Meanie cuts the mustard.
Give them break!
Dude, blue origin is made up of a bunch of amateur DEI picks. I dont think any of them including flight director steve lanius have launched a rocket before.
Then theres jeff bezos.... whom I believe created blue origin for only 3 reasons: 1. government handouts for NASA missions that he was never gonna fulfill. 2. As a joke. And 3. He got serious when it wasn't a joke anymore after personal qualms with elon musk.
It really is that simple....
New Glenn will launch.. i have no doubt...but I will stream it on UA-cam AFTER the fact so I don't have to be exposed to their politically correct drivel.
Blue origins...more like Below Orbit...The fact that they gloat that they launched and created 40+ Astronauts...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
That's the same as me dipping my toes in an Olympic Swimming pool and call my self an Olympic swimmer....
Sigh
Surprised how negative this script is...paid troll site?
It's deserved.
@WyoSavage1976 Why? Everyone should hope for success of all systems
For Jeff its just an expensive hobby with a sprinkle of keeping up with the jones. In the Tim Dodd Blue Origin/Jeff Bezos interview and tour. The minuscule amount of engineering passion was evident. When you watch Elon, you know that man knows each and every inch of his creation. Jeff doesnt stand a chance. Elon knows it.
Blooper origin
Blue origin delayed again……and again……and again……and again …..ad nausem.
It is better to be safe than sorry. You have nothing in this so you can only blather on. If you can do better doit or shut up
To be fair the launch hasn't been "cancelled", it's been postponed.
Boy, all the comments from the couch potato rocket scientists make me laugh.
Appears engine ingenuity impresses many;however, statements made many issues continue to develop, delaying launch.
Might simplicity be better direction.
Reusability is SpaceX’s, proven in recent launches, achievements.
Chats repeat… Blue Origin…baby.
Developing….
Blue origin is no competition for anyone let alone SpaceX let's be real they haven't done a fucking thing lol. And they aren't going to
New Glenn postponed a launch and its “cancelled” . Elon predicted four launches to Mars last year. A prediction that only morons could believe, and you guys applauded😂😂
E. Musk never predicted a flight too Mars before 2 years
@ Yeah, Elon said 4 rockets on 2024; 2 cargo 2 crew as well as a dear moon mission where influencers would do basically Apollo8. It doesnt matter. The man is a bullshitter. Only a moron would have believed any of this.
It needs a new name
Statue
This just sounds like a dress rehearsal to me
Is this company being affected by too many d?E!I hires
👏👏👏👏👏✊🏻👏👏👏👏
