Sarah Millican was born and brought up in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, England. South Shields is on the north east coast of England. Historically within the county of Durham, South Shields is south of North Shields and Tynemouth across the River Tyne; and east of Newcastle upon Tyne and Jarrow.
