I think this is an important point to bring up. Jordan Peterson V1 was very different from V2 or V3. Peterson delivers a very confused message because he is also confused, he ends statements with "where you like it or not", "whether you think it is true or not", so he can always speak nonsense. If you pay attention of the context of his message it is vague and flimsy. Jordan appeals to fear consciousness making people agree with him on the fear end but not on the context of his message, which he covers with confusing rhetoric. I tried to disseminate his message and found myself mentally exhausted to follow it because of all the unnecessary wording. Very little substance, lots of wording.
PBD makes analysis on follows, likes, views, how many people this, he is a reactionary talk show host. He lacks leadership, and Im not talking as a hater, I watch his show, his is entertaining, I like to listen to his narrative and think about how to counter their arguments: Vinny is the easiest, Tom is strategic but deceiving, Adam has a good head for analysis but has to kiss PBD's behind to keep his spot.

Peterson's university lectures are interesting and useful but his current ideology is unhinged.
Just to set the record straight, he and his daughter suffered from severe autoimmune disorders. They experimented by systematically eliminating things from their diet to see if it would improve their health.
They both found that by eliminating everything except meat and water from their diet they could be mentally and physically comfortable. His daughter actually has had joints replaced due to severe deterioration caused by her autoimmune disorder.
It is a miserable diet and they do not recommend it or earn money from promoting it.

Logically, humans evolved eating mostly meat up until just recently in evolution so it makes perfect sense to me that an all meat diet would not be harmfull. I myself am not carnivore but I probably should be eating way less carbs.

I used to think Jordan Peterson did more good than harm, even in his early days (2016-2018) some of it was cringe, but he was mostly just arguing as a devils advocate and from a libertarian standpoint of "the government shouldn't criminalize free speech, like not using people's preferred pronouns". he didn't seem like he actually hated trans people, or women, and he offered some decent advice for struggling young men to find their way. But by like 2019, he'd full embraced right wing ideology (or pandered to them for their money) and gone off the deep end. Now he is toxic AF and definitely doing more harm than good to society.

From a nutritional standpoint I don't think an all-meat diet is any weirder than a no-meat diet. As far as I know it's sustainable and even beneficial for some people. Unfortunately the so-called carnivore diet seems to attract a certain kind of person. When I tried it I worried that people would assume I was that kind of person.

The biggest issue is carnivore dieters tend to think it is the chosen diet of humans and everybody should all be doing it regardless of any other concerns.
In that regards it is not sustainable from a planetary perspective. I'm all for eating some meat but an all meat diet for all of humanity would be disastrous for the world in very short order.

@@bonzocleach2496wow that’s a lot to unpack. Here’s a little tidbit to digest. His daughter has a continuing chronic condition which almost killed her, like any patient suffering with a serious medical issue, they are required to be on medication for the rest of their life. Now how about you present some evidence for attacking a person, I’m not interested in evidence about his and her medication. As a medical professional I understand the “abnormal degree” of medications required to remain health in both their cases. How about you provide some factual evidence on “ grifter and a wackjob” to support your claim. But hey, you do you, maybe listen to more of his interviews without getting triggered and who knows, you may realize that he stands for something and has made a difference. What has your contribution been to make change, good or bad in getting your message across to as many people. Ignorance is bliss, being uninformed is lazy.

It's when he goes into enforced monogamy rhetoric is where things get goofy. 80% of women want 20% of the men. Sooooo, if we force the top 20% of men to stay with one woman, there's more for the rest of us. I'm sorry, JP. Many of the top men are going to have multiple women. That's just natural. Especially without divorce? Monogamy for life is not natural to most humans.

By what measure do the biz bros believe that Peterson is a positive role model to men and a wise father??? Meanwhile, Sam is a father of a son, Saul, with whom he talks about often, with pride.
