Great video, but I would have like to seen the unit be bolted down and see if any changes taken place and were needed due to soft foot and what the process is for corrections
Hi Nic, we spend some time on Softfoot and other Measurement Options the E420/E540 has in Part 2 of this video. Check it out at around the 6:00 minute mark here: ua-cam.com/video/RPHNrCsvkO8/v-deo.html - please let us know if you have any other comments. We appreciate the feedback!
you prolly dont care but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot the password. I love any tricks you can give me
At 4:49 you said you're happy because it's under 20 thousandth? But after angular adjustment, one of the values are more than 20 thousandth, why continue with the alignment ?
Getting it under 20 thou is just a basic rule of thumb for setting the beams up but anywhere near 20 thou would be fine. All we are doing here is getting the lasers close to the center of each detector surface. The reason for this is so it can stay in each other detectors surface when you rotate the shaft 180 degrees. As soon as you take your first measurement it creates the references going to zero and measures from that first position. If there was a lot of misalignment, at a long distance out in the field, there is a chance the laser can come out of the detector surface if you don't get the lasers in the midst of the detector range (ie. the center). However, at this small distance, it wouldn't matter. It is good practice to get it close to zero if you can.
Hello Sai - yes! You can do an open-coupling alignment using the built-in inclinometers. See this video for the instruction on how to do this: ua-cam.com/video/RPHNrCsvkO8/v-deo.html
The 4 inches is the S-C distance, Stationary unit to center of coupling. The S-M distance is automatically halved to give the the S-C but you can override this if the center of the coupling distance is different.
Hi Herbert74, thanks for your feedback! While the E540 is technically obsolete/discontinued, the E420 is still going strong as the software applies to both alignment tools. The video is also over 5 years old and still providing good training for our E420/E540 users! If you are looking for something newer, check out our newer EASY-LASER XT alignment tools in this video shaft alignment demonstration ua-cam.com/video/bE1Ovq_W6JM/v-deo.html.
Great video guys! You are really showing us how easy shaftalignment can be using the right tool!
Great Video. Thanks for your efforts
So thanks , it was a clear and informative

I am using this mechine since from 7 years
It is so "easy" to use compared to other systems out there!
+Christo van der Walt : The price is more better!

@Ignacio Sergio Instablaster :)
Very very thanks you sir😊

@@BENCHMARKPDM thanks for the info sir. This info wasn't found in the E-420 manual and hence my question. Thanks again ;)
How much sim we add under the foot.according to the reading or half of the reading?
Very clear
Nice sir you help us, thank you.
I am using that machine in KSA funtastic and very very easy .
Please, can you send me the report of this work؟
Can the same procedure could be done without coupling??

Wut if shaft different diameters
Sir, how you measure the 4 inches?

How much is this machine
queria uma manual em português
easylaser.com/en-us/support/manuals
No coubling
complicated.better traditional rim
n face method n finish with simple
triangulation.
Нихт, нихт , не хочу ! Много лишних движений , при выполнении всего то одной фунции .
This video is meant to show a lot of the different features available, not how it would necessarily be done out in the field.
outdated
