I think all Norwegians who have tried agree that lefse is not easy to bake. But it's good. The dough may be easy to make, but rolling out the dough is an art. They break very easily before they are fried on a special pan, so you need to know how to handle them.
Europe didnt get potatoes till 16th century but may have had access to turnips & radishes so..there ya go. Vikings didnt eat it! i see a lot of these dishes here with taters in it tho.
