Slade's name is Deathstroke btw. In the 2003 Teen Titans they called him Slade as a mysterious code name and made it so that Robin was obsessed with learning who is Slade? The funny thing is if you knew DC comic book lore you would know that Deathstroke's real name is Slade Wilson. So it's funny if you knew who that character actually was and they made it seem as though Robin was trying to figure out who he was cuz of the mask always covering his face but it's publicly known that he's a mercenary called Slade Wilson. Plus he was a mercenary. In the teen Titans show from 2003 they made him a weird creepy martial artist who wanted an apprentice to try to I guess take over the world or just be an unopposed power that does evil s***. They just sort of made him a generic evil dude who wanted power and really wanted an apprentice and had his eyes on Robin. But they made it seem as though he never wants to show his face even though in the comics he would regularly take us helmet off and like he was in the military before he became a mercenary so you can look up who he is He's not trying to really hide who he is necessarily he wears a mask as part of his outfit for face protection. And beside that's black is the side of his face that has the eye that's missing so that's why that's black because there's no eye hole in it. It's just funny. They also hit drastically change what his motivations are in that show. Normally he's a very serious down to business mercenary who's all about making money and being a professional whereas in the 2003 teen Titans show he's a weird creepy obsessive martial artist dude who wants to be evil and wants an apprentice to help him take over the city and like the world I guess.
