Beautiful Makes, Amy! But totally agree- the granny IS the Best!! I Totally feel your Joy of making the granny stitch! There is just something about a granny blanket--Love them!
Ahhhhhh, how lovely is Diamond, such a sweet puppy, I had to rewind to show Betsy. Also I'm loving your new peach top, I've been wanting to make a tank but all the popular ones seem to show a bit too much and this one doesn't, it is perfect, thank you for the inspiration as always Amy, sending you love xxx
Hi Amy. I love your summer tops!! Especially the colors you’ve chosen. It looks like everyone is having fun with the new puppy and he looks happy too. It’s really nice that you have some of your grandma’s potholders and you are taking good care of them. I made potholders out of acrylic yarn a long time ago before I knew that it “mattered” and I burned some of them but it didn’t really matter, they still kept my hands from getting burned. I like how creative you are to use it like a mitt.
Hi Michelle! Thank you so much! We are all really enjoying our new puppy. She’s so full of energy, so she’s a good match for the kids! 😜 I’m so thankful to have a few handmade treasures from my grandma! 💕
Your new puppy Diamond is precious! I love the knitted top you are wearing it is so pretty and the color looks very nice on you! I admire your knitting skills. I am always amazed how you modify patterns to suit you, you make it seem so easy. You are very inspiring and learning to knit is on my bucket list for sure! I love the intro to your videos, the scenery is always so beautiful and today was outstanding! Seeing a rainbow is always a gift and seeing that in person must have been amazing. Looking forward to your next video.
Amy, your top turned out so pretty. A perfect colour for you. Watching your expressions when showing your granny stripe makes me think of my reactions to mine, which is about as far along as yours is. It takes so long to gather up enough scraps to make it worth while to sit and stitch. I absolutely love mine and can't wait for it to grow so that it will be usable and cherished.
As always, it is such a joy to catch up with you Amy. Your joy is so radiant! 💕 I am forever inspired by your scrappy projects, and textured garments. That tank top looks so gorgeous on you, and like the perfect summer knitted piece! 🌞
It was lovely catching up with you again Amy! Your slip over is beautiful. I also love your potholder collection, they will definitely be going on my list to make soon ☺️ Thank you for sharing. Your puppy is so cute.
Awe, the cactus makes an appearance! It has been a while since I made any I should! Welcome to the fam Diamond, what a sweetheart! Amy, you are looking great and love the tee so much. I am now a Team Lead at work and have been enjoying dyeing yarn! Mostly, I have been stockpiling bare yarn and dye for future projects, it's just nice to have that stuff on hand. I really like the look of that Heart Warmer tee, maybe longer into a tunic. Love you, have a fun summer! I always went to VBS every year loved it!! -Ally
I love all of the progress keepers you’ve made me! They’re all so adorable! How exciting that you’ve been dyeing some yarn. I hope you’re having a fun summer too! 💕💕💕
All of your projects look great! I must have matching cuffs or heels on my scrappy socks in order to identify them as a pair. I do love that type of order!
Love your new top & the baby blanket. I am making baby blankets & garments for family & friends with babies on the way and I think this Diamond- Bobble blanket would be perfect. Thanks for sharing! 😊Christina
That microscrap blanket is amazing! So few people would bother eliminating that waste! I keep wanting to join the make 9 but the thought of figuring out and assembling the collage makes me want to take a nap…
I find so much joy in saving all of those tiny scraps of yarn to make something beautiful! I know the Make 9 challenge isn’t for everyone, & that’s okay. Do what fills you with joy! ❣️
I'm a little behind I think in watching the podcasts (which I am thrilled I found). I was wondering if a "spit join" might work with the scrap blanket (unless it is not wool,......I didn't catch that). Such a great idea and I love it too!
I save even my ties from hanks of fingering weight yarn. There's a pattern in a PomPom magazine from a couple of years ago with a pullover that uses mohair, I believe, and every so often you add in a scrap. The ends are just in bits left on the inside. My husband and grandson just finished a 5lbs plastic jar of animal crackers. I am going to clean it out for all the worsted scrap for a blanket similar to yours. My larger fingering scraps are ser to be put into a Stephen West shawl , Jigshawl. Your top is so cute and the striped one will be adorable too.
The double rainbow in the intro was so pretty.. I so enjoyed the episode. I kept thinking I missed an episode but then I was notified of a new podcast. Yay. Your striped tee is amazing and you do such a great job with your colors and randomizing the stripe width. Now I want to make one and living in Ecuador summer knits are definitely ones I can use. Have a great couple of weeks.
For the sock with the yarn over at the beginning, you could try a nine inch circular needle or move your beginning on the round to the middle of your needle.
Another lovely episode. Your top looks amazing on you. Can’t wait to see the other one when finished. ☺️ I’d also love to hear an update on how your scripture writing is coming along and what it has meant to your spiritual growth. ~Tammy ♥️
Thank you so much, Tammy! That’s so kind of you. I’ve been continuing to write out Scripture every morning. I’m currently in the book of Leviticus. I admit that some of the Old Testament passages are harder to get through, but I’m committed to stick with it as I’m able to retain so much more when I write it out. This has become such a treasured routine in my life. God’s Word is such an enormous gift to have! ❤️
I have placemats kitchen towels dishcloths crocheted by my friend who died several years ago They are so pretty I keep them as a memory but do not use them 💜🧡
I'm amazed by all the scrap blankets you have going at one time! I have 2 fingering scrappy blankets on the hooks right now and every time I watch your podcast, I get an itch to start another one!! Have a wonderful summer and the puppy is just adorable!! Maybe next episode you can share some videos of the baby chicks!! :)
I love your granny stripe, scrappy projects are my favorite. One of my scrappy blankets was made from 990 single round granny squares (kind of mad at myself for not counting them before finishing it - I would have made another row to make it over 1000!) The one I made with leftovers too small for that was crazy, some times I only had one stitch of a color. :)
Hi Amy!! What an adorable puppy! My goodness she is so cute!! I just love your Slanting Slip On Top! I am currently knitting with the Coboo yarn, making my daughter a little purse for her birthday, and agree that is a lovely yarn, but very splitty. However, the color I am using, Steel Blue, is the prettiest shade of navy that I now want to knit myself a Slanting Slip On Top with it! :) I know you've mentioned many times how you do the slip stitch detail on the balls of your socks, but have you ever mentioned how you know when to start adding it in? Like how many inches before your toe decreases do you start knitting the slip stitches? (sorry if you've mentioned this before. I really want to start doing this to my socks because mine also wear out the fastest in the same exact spot as you!) Lovely catching up with you! Hope you have a great rest of the summer!
Thank you so much! 💓 I just try my socks on to know when to start adding in the slip stitches. (For my foot, it measures about 4.5” from the end of my foot when I start adding these in.) I hope that helps!
Hi Amy...love your videos and your hair lol...could you link me up to how you do a rounded toe? I always do a cuff down sock so hoping thats what you do as well. Happy 4th of July! We just Celebrated Canada day on July 1st!
Thank you so much!!! 😊 I follow the instructions for toe decreases from the patterns by Kay of The Crazy Sock Lady. I almost always knit my socks cuff down as well.
Beautiful Makes, Amy! But totally agree- the granny IS the Best!! I Totally feel your Joy of making the granny stitch! There is just something about a granny blanket--Love them!
Thank you so much, Patricia! I’m glad you share my love of the granny! 🤗💕
Thank you so much for sharing Diamond with us!!! What a sweetheart 💜
Oh, my pleasure! She is a sweetheart! 💗

Your Tanktop is perfect !! Love all your makes and Grandma's potholders
Thank you so much, Paige! ❣️❣️❣️
Your top you’re wearing is so pretty. I would love to try crocheting a blanket. You always inspire me with your makes. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you so much! Crocheting blankets is so much fun! You should definitely give it a try! 💕
All of your projects look great! I must have matching cuffs or heels on my scrappy socks in order to identify them as a pair. I do love that type of order!
Yes, matching cuffs really helps them to be a pair even if they’re not matching. 🧦
Love your podcasts
Thank you!!! 💓💓💓

Your top is beautiful and the fit is perfect
Thank you! I’m so happy with how the top turned out! ✨

I love your ideas for using scraps! So fun! Thank you so much! 💕💕💕
I love the start of your solstice sock. I would make a second exactly the same and use them as boot cuffs.
Yes, that pattern is super pretty! ✨
Yes I did enjoy this episode Amy, your making is so inspiring!
Diamond is so sweet, I just love puppies.
Thank you so much, Nancy! Puppies are quite irresistible, aren’t they? 🐶💕

That rainbow was the most spectacular one I’ve ever seen. It seemed so close!
The tank pattern is really great! I highly recommend it so far. ❣️
amazing work 🌷
Thank you so much! ❤️

Thanks so much for the tip! 💕
Your slip on fits you beautifully.
Thank you so much! 💗
Dear Amy,
Your makes are always lovely, but I just wanted to let you know how beautiful you look with you hair up.
