I lived a life similar to this. I was the hardest and the best time of my life. Unfortunately, as for the women, this is still the case basically everywhere. Have you seen any holiday in the US, Thanksgiving, for instance. It is mostly like this: women clean the house, the dishes, get most of the groceries, cook, decorate, serve, are the last to seat and the last to start eating. All this while most of the men are sitting down in the living room watching a game or something. And then when the meal is over, the plates and pots are there to be cleaned, and the left overs to put away, all while the happy voices of the men can be heard still from the living room.

@@Donomra.6968How can one be both "quiet" and "talkative"? That makes no sense. I guess you mean whispering, but no kid on earth whispers to talk unless disciplined harshly to do so by a parent. Not natural.
More likely, they were instructed how to behave for the camera (be quiet, he still), or they face harsh punishments if they act boisterous, like normal childhood behavior.
It wasn't that long ago that the standard in America was "children are to be seen, not heard." I grew up under that harsh directive. It makes for very paranoid, hypervigilent kids...

These poor women 😢 it’s just cooking and cleaning it seems. On the positive side, the children are sweet and respectful, their living area is tidy as well as the meal prep., despite the rustic conditions, and the food does look good and nourishing.

This raises so many questions. I wish there was a way to ask them. Such a different lifestyle. It is peaceful to watch, but probably very difficult to live here. Survival has to be on their mind often.

I too was wondering about the bathroom..I personally could sleep with all those clothes on unless its really cold...a little straw under the sleeping mat would be nice. I sleep on the floor myself, but I need a little cushioning

It's all they've ever known. If you have nothing to compare it to, it's okay. At least they're not pampered and spoiled like most of us.
maybe they are happier than many others. it is not all about things and possessions. my mom grew up in a village after WWII. they were poor but happy big family. people were connected and helped each other. there was order and love even after the war when everything was destroyed. my mom and her brother walked 7km to the school and on their way back their dog would wait for them and they would give him bread that they preserved for him.

Those kids were given a talking to beforehand, something like this: "Cameraman coming here to pay us, so no talking, playing or running. Behave, or I deal with you after. We need this money from video man, so don't mess it up."
Did you see the little one mess up by talking, and get sent out with a quick harsh word by dad? Iron fist.

Qnd vejo estes vídeos do oriente e do extremo oriente, não posso deixar de pensar, q estas mulheres vivem, no absoluto primitismo, sem torneiras, sem pias, sem fogão a gás, talvez sem luz elétrica, acocoradas, que nem nendertals, fazendo comida. Muito primitivo p meu gosto.
Eu vivi uma vida similar em minha infancia. Eu vejo essa cultura e, vejo uma vida dificil e dura, mas nada de primitiva. Assim, como e' dificil e dura a vida de quem vive na linha abaixo da pobreza em paises ditos 'desenvolvidos'. Aqui, nao ha' lixao, nao ha' consumismo, nao ha' estrago de comida. A casa e' minimalista, limpa, e tem tudo o que se precisa para viver. A pegada ambiental desta familia nao se compara 'a pegada ambiental de um bebe em paises 'civilizados'. Nenhuma destas criancas passa horas em frente da tv ou com um aparelho eletronico na mao. Aprendem vivendo. Imagino as historias de seu povo, o aprendizado que detem de seus antepassados. Progresso e primitivismo sao termo enganosos.

Не, они моются. Женщины берут большой бак и идут с детьми к реке. Там греют на костре воду и моют детей, с мылом. И сами купаются.
