The more I hear these stories the more I respect them at Strange. I love the evolution of Strange Music.
I understand why they have those rules. Don’t want to give anybody a reason.
Maybe strange was trying to tell him "we're about business and we're not about drugs if you want to drink or smoke you can either do that when the tour is done or you can always just go home or you find another way either way we don't do that here."
Shout out to Dizzy Wright and Demrick. Demrick is a cool ass dude I met him in Spokane at a friends house and her step mom is his aunt. I was literally chillin at a house with Demrick smokin and shit it blew my mind lol. Was cool asf too bout gettin a pic with me
In my opinion I'd say anything outside of the bus shoulda been left up to Dizzy to figure out when or where he would smoke if he had the venues permission. But on the bus I understand and agree with Strange. I mean u don't step into somebody's house and get upset they won't let u smoke inside. Whether strange owned the bus or rented it, it was basically their property and/or responsibility.
Strange music = strong quality label.

Travis is a tough manager. He makes all the rules and prevents anyone being able to smoke in certain places that might give the label any bad name. If the venue doesn’t allow people to smoke outside but then tech is seen smoking outside anyways before or after a show, that might look bad

This. Strange Music is a business and they set the rules and if that’s not your thing then don’t do business with them.
I get it, but I sympathize with Dizzy. I struggle with Strange Music a bit. Because, I get what they're doing, why they're doing what they doing and how they go about it. But at the end of the day, also, it's art and these people are artists. I think SM lost a lot of it's artistic value, in attempts to be a cookie cutter label, like everybody else. Strange Music can never compete with Universal, Interscope, etc - and what's worse is, they don't have to. They showed you can become millionaires without having to be that - so why attempt to be that with the cookie cutter stuff? Behaving on tour, showing up on time, being able to perform, all that shit, still is the artists responsibility and any loss, that can be blamed on the artist, will have to come out of the artist's pay check - which leads me back to this again, why constrain your artists? That will *100%* hurt the art, hurt the quality _and_ the quantity. So I understand the rules that SM laid out, but at the same time, I think there could have been way better ways to handle this stuff in a way that leaves the artists with some breathing room. I think this can potentially be the major reason (if not _the_ reason) for SM's decline.

The venues out in the midwest and upstate they perform at didn't want no disturbances.....I can bet their is still that stigma on rap shows attached to it...plus there def is a underlying racial dynamic too hence why all the strict rules

Them not letting people smoke seems like a pain, but I couldn't agree with that sentiment more. It's unfortunate that Wright had to deal with SM the way he did, but I wish Kev would have asked him some better questions like "did not smoking change the way you perform?" stuff like that. Because I'm gonna be honest sobriety during a professional show is underrated in my opinion, but I have had some bad experiences so I'm a little biased. This was cool though. I'd really like to know what the beef is with Strange Music. I'm seeing a lot of people fuss about them and I'm out of the news loop so I'm lost. Lol.

For the past few years, hasn't Tech been smokin, he's been rappin about it? Regardless, c'mon, 1st off it's weed, but to tell someone what they can't do in their own room? I guess cuz Dizzy was in that room kinda representing the Strange Music tour, but that goes back to my initial comment of wasn't Tech smokin as of late? Not hitting 2 story bongs, but still smokin a bit, as opposed to never ever like he used to.
Well I think it was techs manager Travis making all the rules. And secondly, i don’t think there’s any rules about never smoking, I think it’s just about not smoking in certain places that could come off as trashy or inappropriate which would maybe make the label look bad. Here is a story.
In my state in Australia a fan gave Tech a small amount of weed. He accepted it and gave the guy a green light to come back stage.
Side note : Tech and Krizz comes to my state and performs to such small crowds. I am very thankful. So I won't questions intentions especially how he has built the label like his. He knows what's best.

Dizzy issue in this whole scenario was a spiritual attack. Idk if he was aware of it or not. Trav is the Dragon, "snake and bat, owns the company" Tech is the BEAST.
