Shane's face being shocked and shy and incredulous at 13:40 just makes me smile big and feel happy for him.
A really helpful design tip: take photos of your current room to reference later (bright daylight and night lit pics) and use a collage app to test out different styles and furniture pieces in your current space. You can even use basic cutout tool from Snapchat to make a furniture piece, lighting, etc. into a “sticker” to place around your room or test our colors. Sometimes things look so much better in our heads than when you combine them in real life!! Either way, LOVE the new house!!! XO ❤️

If anything this slower return seems more akin to him being more comfortable in the public eye again. Literally he could have made a video on his own channel and it would get millions of views, but it seems quite obviously he is doing this slow return for his own mental health.

I don't think that will happen. Speaking as someone who's struggled with weight and mental health. We just aren't programmed that way. Although I have stopped putting myself down and I'm comfortable with my body. But I'll never think I'm attractive. And that's not me looking for compliments, it's just how my brain works.
I hope he will learn, because I'm 59 and have been fighting obesity my entire life. It is better to accept it and learn to manage it as a disease, not as a measure of beauty. As for a measure of beauty, like hair, that is something that is easily changed. Shane, for some reason, refuses to allow himself the luxury of a great haircut that he can certainly afford, including a daily visit from an aesthetician. He could retain someone for $50,000 per year and have them on call when needed, so that his hair could be better kept and his skin could be managed better. Those are 2 really easy things he could do and with his wealth, not a problem to attain. Good luck, Shane. You're worth it and deserve it!

I wish Shane could find the comfort in his own body. We only get one, love it.. You don't have to be perfect!
Body dysmorphia/body dysmorphic disorder are real mental diagnoses, so it's definitely not something Shane can fix, but he can manage. I think the positivity he gets from people helps temporarily, but his brain will always tell him there's a flaw with his appearance, regardless of how much he's loved and appreciated.
@@HouseMDaddict Shane is improving little by little. He’s appearing in vlogs more often and not putting himself down as often. All that takes effort on his part. He’s looking better than he has in a while and he’s actually smiling the kind of smile that you can in his eyes. That’s not to say that he’s cured or that he won’t have setbacks on his journey through life but I’m happy to see him trying and not giving up completely.
