2 Esdras is in every Roman Catholic and Orthodox Bible. Those are the two biggest forms of Christianity. Some Anglican/Episcopalian Bibles also comtain it, as do some Lutheran ones. So not exactly hidden. Roman Catholic churches read from this book every year in services.

Hey guys, so I was reading Matthew and realized Jesus quotes directly from this book (2 Esdras) in the 1599 publishing of the Geneva Bible. 1:30: “I gathered you as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. But now, what shall I do to you? I will cast you out from my presence”… Matthew 23:37: “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!”… this is huge and makes apocrypha scripture even more valid.

Keep in mind, while the main portion of 2 Esdras (chapters 3-14) were written at the end of the 1st century A.D., the first two chapters (known as 5 Ezra) are considered to be later additions by a Christian, dating to around the beginning of the 3rd century A.D. so no, Jesus was not quoting from 2nd Esdras, it was the other way round.
one year ago my sister prayed for god to heal my leg while i was in the hospital for diabetic complications. Though not a Christian myself god came to my hospital two consecutive mornings the form of a slow moving florescent light at exactly 420 in the am . I felt a short burning sensation and my leg was healed.

Books were not Biblical scripture, who are they to make a Decision like that? These Books are just as important if not more so than any other book in the Bible. That's why they were kept hidden from us for so long. Our Father made sure they were made available before the end of time.
I struggle very much reading scripture as I have a tbi, with secondary stroke. It took me 7 years to memorise The Lord's Prayer as I forget what I've read or heard . Not 7 years straight but being drawn to Yah and then giving up as uts so difficult for me. And when I have it memorised I still have to make it make sense because my understanding is so limited . But when it's read to me, by a narrator with a wonderful voice like this man, I can for a while, understand it. And that is a blessing. I am really grateful and I bless you Christopher.
Stunned keep praying and trying to remember I had a stroke and could not remember for a time I kept praying and can remember better there is also a herb I take called Hawthorne berries that is excellent for stroke heart high blood pressure and other things. I hear you @tailoroftruth. Sometimes I'm trying to help friends and house mates understand what the bible says and what it's about. Sometimes I get open minded responses ad conversations but other times I don't push it because it feels like I'm "casting pearls before swine" and being ridiculed for it. Not until 2017 had I actually tried to read the Bible properly. In 1997 we were gifted a Bible as a wedding gift. A family Catholic Bible. It has the books that were actually taken out. It's no coincidence this video has come up as recommended. I'm no longer Roman Catholic but that's no reason to now not read it.
Cheryl Watkins the Latin Vulgate was taken by the Romans when they conquered Jerusalem BUT though it has been referred to as the Catholic Bible it was never used in their teachings & beside all that the Roman Catholic religion was not organized until 400 years later. In any case, this Latin Vulgate was kept in its original form, BUT the CHURCH WROTE their own dictates for their Catechism Teachings.

Anthony, I read your comment and before I say any more. My God Given name which is my middle name but one that very devout family members called me is Daniel. Now that may seem like nothing but attach to that is that fact I had dreams and visions since I was a child. It really bothered my family for awhile until I just hoped I wouldn't experience it anymore. I grew up Roman catholic but never felt right about any "religious view" as I felt God and Jesus walked with me when I read the words or when I felt a tingle and hairs when I spoke to him on my knees. I passed away 10 years ago this year Oct 14th I felt when I came back I knew so much but that the 18 year Air Force Veteran with 3 children I couldn't remember them or my past with them for some time. I saw and still see things from my past I do not relate to. But I came back with knowledge and understanding of ancient things I felt I already had known. My knowledge and draw to understand the Revelation back and forth now makes a lot of sense. 2 years ago I moved to a small town on the east coast after suffering another near death event and many months of pain and challenges. I hid from the world because for me to be near people and hear them speak to me in confession I don't ask for (random strangers) Who don't even know I'm a Minister. Tell me personal things and tragedies or problems, and this after I was on my knee asking to walk the path and please send anyone who needed my help in my path. Never fails and I've loved to meet so many wonderful loving people. But having dreams and visions of the events now unfolding, and when I say this to you. One key reason most scholars, as is written in the description of this video, feel this book was written after Jesus Christ, is: * they reject any books out of the Protestant 66, * they are some amazing Messianic prophecies in this book that they believe are so vivid because the record here happened after the event, * no manuscipts exist before first century AD.... but that is true for many OT books. It is really hard for papyrus or parchment to survive beyond 2000 years. The absence of tangible evidence is a reason to doubt, but not dogmatically state "this was written in the 1st to 2nd century CE".
There used to be a warning in place & a large fine if anyone removed the apocryphal books in the Protestant church, they weren't removed until 1885 by the British and foreign Bible Society

There are no such things as hidden books. Be careful for false doctrines. Esras just means Ezra in Hebrew

Books were not Biblical scripture, who are they to make a Decision like that? These Books are just as important if not more so than any other book in the Bible. That's why they were kept hidden from us for so long. Our Father made sure they were made available before the end of time.
I struggle very much reading scripture as I have a tbi, with secondary stroke. It took me 7 years to memorise The Lord's Prayer as I forget what I've read or heard . Not 7 years straight but being drawn to Yah and then giving up as uts so difficult for me.
And when I have it memorised I still have to make it make sense because my understanding is so limited .
But when it's read to me, by a narrator with a wonderful voice like this man, I can for a while, understand it. And that is a blessing.

I hear you @tailoroftruth. Sometimes I'm trying to help friends and house mates understand what the bible says and what it's about. Sometimes I get open minded responses ad conversations but other times I don't push it because it feels like I'm "casting pearls before swine" and being ridiculed for it. I feel bad but some people's hearts are just hardened to the truth and living by example is the best option.

I love how he said repent. That is so joyous, out of all the warnings and everything, we know that he still loves us.

Not until 2017 had I actually tried to read the Bible properly. In 1997 we were gifted a Bible as a wedding gift. A family Catholic Bible. It has the books that were actually taken out. It's no coincidence this video has come up as recommended. I'm no longer Roman Catholic but that's no reason to now not read it.
Cheryl Watkins the Latin Vulgate was taken by the Romans when they conquered Jerusalem BUT though it has been referred to as the Catholic Bible it was never used in their teachings & beside all that the Roman Catholic religion was not organized until 400 years later. In any case, this Latin Vulgate was kept in its original form, BUT the CHURCH WROTE their own dictates for their Catechism Teachings.

Anthony, I read your comment and before I say any more. My God Given name which is my middle name but one that very devout family members called me is Daniel.
Now that may seem like nothing but attach to that is that fact I had dreams and visions since I was a child. It really bothered my family for awhile until I just hoped I wouldn't experience it anymore.
I grew up Roman catholic but never felt right about any "religious view" as I felt God and Jesus walked with me when I read the words or when I felt a tingle and hairs when I spoke to him on my knees.
I read the Bible often various versions because I loved history and knowledge at a young age. I ate knowledge and to this day I'll be 47 on 12 18 this year, I can remember so many things.
Also a note. I passed away 10 years ago this year Oct 14th
I felt when I came back I knew so much but that the 18 year Air Force Veteran with 3 children I couldn't remember them or my past with them for some time. I saw and still see things from my past I do not relate to. But I came back with knowledge and understanding of ancient things I felt I already had known.
My knowledge and draw to understand the Revelation back and forth now makes a lot of sense.
2 years ago I moved to a small town on the east coast after suffering another near death event and many months of pain and challenges.
I hid from the world because for me to be near people and hear them speak to me in confession I don't ask for (random strangers)
Who don't even know I'm a Minister. Tell me personal things and tragedies or problems, and this after I was on my knee asking to walk the path and please send anyone who needed my help in my path. Never fails and I've loved to meet so many wonderful loving people.
But having dreams and visions of the events now unfolding, and when I say this to you. I only want you and anyone who reads this to understand.
The tribes are uniting, I was told almost 2 years ago that I was a Messenger, and that I was going to start meeting others like me.
Wow was that true.
The Saints, there are many but few in comparison I know you will understand this.
The Next Book is being written. Not yet with the hand.
I pray those of you in Grace will See this and know I carry much more to know it just cannot be expressed at the length it needs to be truly understood.

One key reason most scholars, as is written in the description of this video, feel this book was written after Jesus Christ, is:
* they reject any books out of the Protestant 66,
* they are some amazing Messianic prophecies in this book that they believe are so vivid because the record here happened after the event,
* no manuscipts exist before first century AD.... but that is true for many OT books.
It is really hard for papyrus or parchment to survive beyond 2000 years. The absence of tangible evidence is a reason to doubt, but not dogmatically state "this was written in the 1st to 2nd century CE".
There used to be a warning in place & a large fine if anyone removed the apocryphal books in the Protestant church, they weren't removed until 1885 by the British and foreign Bible Society

There are some Bibles that have this book. Most don't.
@@kevinmitchell2074 Every Roman Catholic Bible has this book in it. The RCs are still the biggest denomination. The Orthodox churches' Bibles also include it.
