I’m only a gen z teenager, so I never saw this live or on MTV (I wasn’t alive at the time) but I am so happy the footage still exists because I am a big fan of Nirvana. It’s hard to believe this legendary concert came close to not happening. Apparently Kurt thought the show was gonna suck, as he couldn’t play many of his better-known songs due to the acoustic guitar. He called it off, but quickly renounced that decision. Then, backstage, he was struggling with stomach pains and withdrawal symptoms, vomiting blood and bile just hours before the show. He then took some medicine and asked the people to sit around him at the front and he pushed through, putting in one of the most legendary grunge concerts of all time. Rip Kurt. You’re loved by all generations. Legends never die.

I went to the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle last month (not on his passing anniversary) with my brother and they had a whole theater with this playing on it. Everybody was just quiet and watching it. I knew Nirvana was big but i didn't know the influence they had. I can see why my brother is so obsessed with them.
Nirvana came in and absolutely changed the American music landscape. Before them it has hair metal, pop and glam rock . It was amazing to witness the industry changing in real time. I think every generation needs a band with the impact of Nirvana otherwise the industry gets stale and corporate and the soul of music dies.

Kurt... You will be missed forever and beyond eternity. You were such a special kind of human being. With a soul so pure, truly deep thoughts and feelings. You were intelligent on a higher level and full of love. Unfortunately sensitive people are struggling / can't make it in this shitty world. Because all they're longing for is peace and love. It's just not fair and I'm still aching over your loss.
I have listened to Nirvana for years. It seems the like music was more raw and basic in the best way. It somehow speaks to soul like nothing elsi. You can hear all the emotions he has felt. So clear, so raw.
I wasn't born when Nirvana was around, but their music and lyrics inspired me. it was very fortunate for the people present that night to witness them. I summarize the song in this video "Come as you are" "Jesus Don't Want Me For a Sunbeam" "Pennyroyal Tea" "Dumb" "Polly" "On a Plain" "Something In The Way" "Sweet Home Alabama" "Plateau" "Oh Me" "Lake of Fire" "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" "Come As You Are" "The Man Who Sold The World"
