Definitely looks like a good flashlight, I like the tail stand ability, moonlight kinda bright, but not a deal breaker. I would use this for a power outage scenario inside the house. Handy emergency light, Great video!
Nice light, I prefer my Olight 3 Seeker Pro for indoors, but i do like that color temp! -- Just got the Olight Mini Marauder-- that thing is unreal for flood! Nice review! thank you, I may get this! Cheers, Michael
Looks like a nice light. And I like the charger and abilities it has. But as far as the actual light, and throw…I think my Olight Seeker 4 Pro has it beat. And the Marauder Mini is just an insane flashlight, with the best of both worlds. Flood light and thrower at the flick of a switch. Maybe I’ll get a FourSevens light eventually. I’m a sucker for a good quality light.
Good video, and an interesting flashlight. Looks solid, I don't have any problem finding my flashlights tho, so the price is a bit hefty for me just to get the "standby feature" The main usage seems to be as an emergency light, and for that, I don't find high CRI and/or colour temperature very important. I'm sure it is a great flashlight, just too much put into an emergency light IMO. I have some questions that maybe you or someone else can answer: 1. You said @3:33 it got IPx8 and you said it means it can be submerged 6 feet under water indefinitely? As I understand it the "8" means it is tested for up to 30 minutes, but with no guarantee of more than that and that water can start seeping in if submerged for longer? 2. After a quick look at the website you linked to, I can't find any charging time with the inductive charger and how it tops up the Li-Ion battery to be ready for emergencies at all times. As I understand it, for emergency lighting other battery technologies usually are better for being constantly topped up?
The 8 means indefinitely. The 30 minute time limit is for 7. 3 ft of water for 30 minutes. The question regarding the battery is a good one and I’m not sure I can answer that accurately
@@ChrispyThings ok, I'll have to check it against the standard if I can find it. Lots of sites I've looked at so far says the standard is stating "up to 30 minutes" but I will read through the official standard some day. Thanks for the reply 👍
@@ChrispyThings Thanks again, I've now found the real IP standards, and learned (thanks to you👍😁) that the time limit you see on phone specs, etc, is put there by the manufacturer - I guess it is to be protected from lawsuits if someone puts their phone in a bucket of water every night 😁
I’ve owned this flash light a few months. My first “expensive” flashlight. My only complaints; overpriced and should be brighter for the size and weight IMO. Their email list has it 20% off every few months. definitely get the charging base. It’s a solid, well built BEAUTIFUL flashlight. Customer service is responsive and timely too. I have switched to OLIGHTS recently thought but I keep this Maelstrom MXS in my master bedroom.
Jason isn’t about lumens.. he gives you very high CRI leds that Olight can’t get. Jason’s main line of lights, Prometheus, are highly sought after, and the tech trickles down to the brand he took over, Foursevens. Olight are cheap Chinese lights. I have 20+ of them but they are nothing special and can’t hold a candle to anything semi high end.
@@seanp1129Id like to see what you’re trying to say. I love Olights. I haven’t come across anything personally, or anything anyone I know personally that has better than my Olights. They are amazing! Lifetime guarantee, and the light output is something I’ve never seen until I owned some myself. I would like to own a FourSevens light eventually though. Just to see the difference myself.

My Marauder mini is in the mail!
The Auto-On Power Outage feature at 5:50 is a game changer.
It absolutely is

I have a bunch of FourSevens lights and they are on another level regarding quality
Totally agree, price and not being able to set start mode.
Think I am going to order this
My best friend thank you for sharing 👍
Happy holidays to you buddy 👍
Happy Holidays!
Its nice but for the price you could get the maunder mini
Question I have is does it always being on charge effect the battery negatively

Is the inductive end magnetic?
Bought this light it is nice but the light seems a little yellow I like a bright white light
Yes it’s a high CRI neutral white.
I prefer the warmer light over cool white for non tac lights. So for me it works
I have my phone and a flashlight next to my bed because I'm already prepared like that. This is just a gimmick.
I’ll have to disagree on being a gimmick.
The point is when it’s pitch black and can’t find your phone, this will give you light. It’s awesome
What is your go to light?
Sorry, it is too pricey
