Girl I've been telling people for YEARS that you need a good cleansing soap AND THEN do your fancy body wash because it's not cleaning your body well enough. Everyone who touches even my arm says how soft my skin is and I tell them "Dr. Bronner's 1st, Dove or Olay body wash second. Use exfoliating gloves with your body wash and you'll be this soft too!"
And I don't wash my body until I finish my hair 1st! Even the shampoo feels yucky on your skin, so you know a DC leaves hella residue! And they wonder why they got a stinky 🙀🙀🙀!!!🤣🤣🤣

I get hygiene recommendations too and I politely press not interested because my mama, my grandmother AND my great-grandmother taught me well. You'll never catch me slippin' in that department!

When you said “you have conditioner chucked all in the crack of yo ass” I hollered🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣. Dr.Bronners stay in my shower. When I was younger my sister taught me after my cycle use tea fee oil on a wet wash cloth to wash down there and that changed the game.

Hi Denise. I’ve been following you for a while and never comment but found this video very informative. I agree with it all. Some ladies may need to be cautious about the Summer’s Eve products though. Some, not all women can throw their PH off using those products. My body did not agree with any of their products. My doctor told me stop using scented products. I took a chance and tried the Honey Pot wipes and they’re all good so if anyone has problems with those, try Honey Pot. Love you channel 💜

Funny but truthful. Dr. Bonner’s is the goat! I also love to use the brightening soaps for my underarms, elbows, and knees so they can match the rest of my skin tone. (Only use 2-3 times a week) In total agreement with going commando at night. 🥰😁🤣 TFS

YOO! I love my auntie! This video was errythang! I use the summers eve spray! I had a roomie in college who had a booty rag for when she went #2. Didn’t understand it as an 18 year old but as a married woman at 32, I sure do now!
One extra tip for the shower, when you are pretty much done your whole shower routine, turn the cool water down so it’s mainly hot water coming out and spread them cheeks to make sure your pretty crack and kitty gets a nice rinse. A nice rinse of hot water right before getting out feels so good. I feel squeaky clean every time.
Yes I had never seen anyone actually WASH their butt after #2 until I met my man. He’s super clean and I love him for that 😂 Also I agree with spreading everything open to get it all rinsed out good. Doing a lil twerk under shower water works for me 😂

Recently I purchased a Dove body scrub and was pleasantly surprised. Some of my staples are a good African Mesh Exfoliator I like the one by Luv Scrub, The Honey Pot products, and yes Sleeping FREE!!!

The Dove Rice Milk and Dove Brown Sugar are my favs from that brand. The Tree Hut scrubs are more coarse and exfoliating so it depends if you like the rougher scrubs. Dove is not as rough so just keep that in mind.

They have a tea tree version. I was talking about the Dial soap when I was talking about anti bacterial. Sorry if I said it wrong or was misleading
Wipes are great, but please don't flush them. Even though they are flushable, they will eventually damage your plumbing.
What do you suggest we do with them? I wouldn’t want to put them in my trash can in the bathroom cause I can see that being smelly 🤢
I was told they’re damaging too and although they’re labeled as flushable they shouldn’t. It’s similar to disposing of baby wipes in the trash. You can use a scented trash bag in your garbage to help mask the smell.
@@DeniseAdore I came to say this as well. Those things definitely don't disintegrate. One of those lil bathroom trash cans with the lid and a scented liner and/or a stick up in them (old school 😂) should do the trick. If you're in an apartment who gives af, but when the repairs are on you????? Hellll nah lol.
@@DeniseAdore get scented nappy disposal bags and bag the wipes and tie the bag before putting them in the bin. When you do your weekly bin emptying no smell and no mould.

Dr. Bronner's is the truth!! Especially the peppermint one. Growing up my mom would have me add 2 cap fills of vinegar to my bath water to soak my lady parts. I still do it if I'm out of feminine wash. Target has this brand called Down There Wash that is pretty good and gentle. I hope we get a video for this makeup routine!!

Thank you for telling the people that body wash is not a deep cleanse! Yes to the bar soap first…yes yes yes! Love Dr. Bronner’s peppermint soap and yes to the antibacterial or detox bars. I’m a bar soap stan and def will not stray from that. I recently discovered the lush pumpkin spice soap and that’s great for someone who doesn’t like that tingling cool feeling that the Bronner’s leaves. It definitely gives that same clarifying cleanse without the tingling and without leaving you dry. And girl, you know we was raised by the baby boomers…my mother would kick my a$$ if she thought I was using the same rag for my face and body. I don’t even use the same rag on my vag that I use for my body. Yes, 3 rags sis. And thank you for calling out the folks washing then rinsing deep conditioner off. Like, you still dirty boo and then wonder why your back look like a mini moon. Love this video!

Excellent tip no the double wash before and after conditioning. I don't think most people think of that, get that conditioner out the whooha lmbo. Exfoliating gloves are life and help your skin absorb your lotions, oils etc better.

Something that is a must for me is a Brazilian. Hair holds on to odor, toilet paper, sweat and so on. For me, no hair is so much more sanitary. When I had a period, I was a heavy bleeder and the Brazilian saved me. I felt like I was able to get completely dry. Sorry if it’s TMI but this is what works for me. Thanks for sharing your tips. I use Dove regular or the anti bacteria Dove for my first real wash then use my philosophy body wash after. I also use panty liners daily. And once I started using them scrub gloves there was no turning back.☺️

That’s why I do my hair first, leave the dc in there, wash my body, get out the shower and put the smell good on, THEN wash out the dc in the sink or upside down in the shower. That way the dc been in there for a while if I ain’t got time to put heat on it

Denise do you remember the buff puff scrubbing sponge? I still order them from Amazon. They get my elbows and knees right!🤣 I have got to try Dr Bronners. I’ve been using black soap, but I feel like my skin is still so dirty. Not to mention it stains my light wash cloths.
I may remember it if i saw it. I like using black soap too but you’re right it does stain the cloths so when I use it I use it with the exfoliating gloves 😉
Those gloves are the truth! They exfoliate so well. I don't wash my body until my hair is finished then I get myself clean but sis, who uses the same wash cloth on their face as they used on their bum 😱 I don't use the same wash cloth or towel twice. One use and in the dirty clothes hamper it goes. Thank you for helping those ladies out cause chile, I cannot imagine doing that. I'm too much of a germ a phobe

Another thing to add is only using white cotton wash cloths or your hands to wash and also cotton panties most of the time.

I actually learned to make a foam that makes your tp like a flushable wipe. Keep it right next to the toi!at and voi!a no expensive plumbing bill and a clean booty ho. Lollllll
Also check out a feminine wash called lemisol!!!! I only use it after my period to freshen up but I love the extra clean cooling feel and it never gave me any issues down there. I'm not one for all the perfumed stuff or douching etc because I find it irritates more than helps.
I'm going to try the castille soap before body wash, I honestly never thought about it the way you put it.

😂 some ppl don’t like the peppermint cause it’s really cooling and tingling and they think it feels like burning I guess 🤷🏻♀️ but the lavender, rose and almond are also scents I like. Plus they have unscented.

Just know that many women who do exfoliate still suffer from hyperpigmentation as well as just being a African American woman who has more melanin, has many different shades of brown within the complexion of the dermis which is completely fine, beautiful and normal 🙂 oh and also your vaginal area should not be fruity or flowery smelling but yet clean smelling and too much of anything can be bad for you especially your lady parts. Everyone is different so do what works for you 😊✨

A lot of the products I recommended also come in unscented forms just so you’re clean and not necessarily fruity if that doesn’t work for them 😉 and yes I know we all suffer from hyperpigmentation no matter what shade you are. Exfoliating just helps remove or lighten that hyperpigmentation faster and gives a smoother more even tone to the skin and body.

I use a face scrubber from Amazon with different silicone attachments and it has like 4 different functions for cleaning, deep cleaning, anti-aging and discoloration. It's amazing!
Dr. Bonners best cleanser hands down, then I love Dial Gold... I always felt like body wash just moved the dirt around. 😆 I only use it to shave. Gloves always 💣 been on them gloves for at least a decade 🤣. You have to change them regularly you forgot to mention that... you gonna have folks out here using 1 pair of gloves for months 😂 cleanse only externally not internally too. They gone be putting Dr. Bonners and going to the ER gurllllllll.
Yea I did forget to mention to change out the gloves but hopefully they’ll understand that’s why I linked the gloves with multiple pairs in the packs. You can even wash them like you do wash cloths. I used Dr Bronners all up and through there with no problem. Of course not in the actual hole but the inner lips and outside hole yes.

I use lady suite. It’s the only feminine wash I’ve used that doesn’t burn and actually leaves me smelling neutral. Their oil is pretty good too.
I never thought to use the spray in the underwear. I would never spray her directly cause she does the most and will get an attitude very easily!

I didn't know this either. This is pretty much the only soap I can use because I am sooooo sensitive. I have tried using the all natural body washes such as Raw Sugar and Method and haven't had any problems. I'm afraid that Bronners will send me to the ER.

I just let the water from the shower and my skin dilute what on my cloth. It does say on the bottle to dilute. But I don’t add any water to it other than that.

Dr. Bronners makes these scents in a bar soap as well. I get them from my local Dierberg’s. They are wonderful! Pricey, but wonderful!

I haven’t had any yeast or ph issues with using antibacterial soap. Everyone is different. I’ll use summers eve but after antibacterial soap 😉 yea girl that thang needs to be aired out every day 😂
Lotta antibacterial products are drryyying and just sometimes go on a hiatus pure clean water in a peri bottle does wonders. And Vice verses after that damp butt butt wipe or frontal pat dry with a clean absorbing towel rather cloth or paper dampness in this area isn’t good are for bacteria grow. Bonners have baby (unscented) soap also in tea tree
@@wandabanks679 I agree antibacterial soaps can be drying which is why I prefer to follow up with a moisturizing body wash 😉 I haven’t had any issues with the flushable wipes. They seem to work just like a baby wipe would on a baby. Those are actually good to use too but I don’t think their flushable. But I could see why you would want to dry the area off makes sense 🤷🏻♀️
