great vid. i got a lot of fine sand in my manfrotto after a day at the beach and this worked a treat. gave me the confidence to open it all up and clean it.

He-he, yes, I really don't know how to avoid getting sand into the tripod, so I guess cleaning it afterwards is the way to do it.
