We've been to Terceira twice and absolutely love it there! I like the videos where you drive around so that I can see the towns and landscape that we love so much!
🥰 thank you I’m definitely getting better editing there is a big difference between my first few videos and the more recent ones thank you for watching We just love showing the island and it’s beauty 🥰
Whishing you guys lot's of success on your farm, and your animals are well taking care. the banana orchard look's beautiful and best of all those are organic with no pesticide I'd rather have one small banana from there, than a big one from Ecuador with no flavor or taste. Best regards to all of you.
Are ur children already Portuguese fluent?Azorean cows are the sweetest most amazing cows. I love them. Love the way ur family talks to them so sweetly in Portuguese. 😍
The kids are learning Portuguese in school they have been learning for 6 months so far thank you for your kind comments we feel it’s important for the animals to be treated as kind as possible because they are giving their lives for us we don’t take that lightly at all 🥰 the one with white on it’s face is named Star (Estrela) it’s #10 and he actually likes to be pet and waits for his daily snuggles 🥰 we thank you for you support and appreciate you comments
@@newlifeazores1326 Ahh ur welcome!! 😁Our animals are so very special, they deserve all the love and care in the world. I remember driving around next to the rock pools up North and having them cows come over to the fence. So inquisitively sweet and beautiful, I love them. Estrela us indeed a 🌟🥰, but they all are. Hoping your kids soon get the hang of Portuguese, it will help them tremendously.
Hi there, we moved to Terceira 7 mos. ago from U.S. ourselves, me and hubby. Nice to see your videos and just started watching, so am curiius to know how long you been here. I am from Azores but hubby is American, so just wanted to reach out.
How cool!! We should meet up for coffee one of these days we have been here 8 months so far and are having an amazing experience we hope you’re settling in nicely ❤️
This is quite an interesting channel that I have discovered. It would be nice to have a video exhibiting the motives for moving to Terceira and the family's future vision there. This would help us viewers understand the purpose of the channel and build a culture. Happy Farming!
We have had a few viewers ask the same thing recently we agree it’s about time we answer a few questions about the move we hope to do so in our upcoming videos thank you for watching and thank you for your feedback 😊

Hello this question gets brought up often and it wasn’t easy but we both had really good jobs before we left the US and we saved and saved and our household was very disciplined about not buying unnecessary things before we moved and we sold most of our household items before we left including my Mercedes Benz we also didn’t plan on living off the money we saved forever that’s why we started the farming business out here that is our new source of Income we still have to be careful about spending because the business is new but now the money is starting to come in from the farming and things are starting to get a bit easier financially 😊
Thank you for your question If there’s a surplus, then they can potentially be exported to the mainland, but typically not needed and yes, absolutely they are qualified to be organic 🙏
No this is an entire new life for us I was working a corporate job and my husband worked at the San Diego Safari Park but he didn’t work hands on with the animals the young man is my nephew and he was working in the music industry we felt it was important to do a lot of research before we started farming we hope to continue to do well as the business grows it’s still pretty early on thank you for your support ❤️
@@newlifeazores1326 How lovely!! I was there in early September and in the center of Porto Judeu I took a "wrong" OW street, down to close the water's edge. Nobody around, and I kinda lost not sure how to get out, as there was no way out, so it seemed. Nobody, except for a guy working on a roof, bless his soul. From about 25 meters away, I was facing him so he gestures wildly for me to drive his way, then signals me to turn right. I had no idea a tiny (barely) drivable alleyway was hidden there! Such wonderful folks... I absolutely adore the Açores and açoreanos. Did not know about that thrift store in Praia or I wud have visited it. I loved PDVic, and hope one day to run into Nuno Bettencourt there !! 🥰🥰

My in-laws’ landlord had banana trees like that. It was between Porto Martines and Praia near the beach.
There is something very tranquil about being in there under the trees it’s so beautiful one of my favorite things to do we are in Porto Judeu ❤️
I love the chicken purse! Very interesting video
It’s perfect right 😂
You got it in the Açores?? It is so awesome! 😍
@M Silva No the purse was a gift from my sister in the United States I have had it since 2016 but definitely turns more heads when I carry it here 🥰
@@newlifeazores1326 Uauu amazing, yeah it shud turn heads! Piece of art! 😍

Will the bananas be exported to the Mainland? Will they qualify for the Organic lable?

Em qual freguesia está a viver. .?
Vivemos em Feteira, mas as terras agrícolas estão em Porto Judeu e São Sebastiao
@@newlifeazores1326 obrigada. Boa sorte também eu e meu marido somos da terceira. Já estamos aqui na Califórnia 53 anos.
@@newlifeazores1326 I visited Porto Judeu in September, coming from the mainland. Loved the beauty and peacefulness ❤️
@M Silva Porto Judeu is close to our hearts as it is the birthplace of my father in law and they currently live there as well
