Hi everyone, and welcome back to the channel! Today, we're getting a sneak peek at the upcoming refresh of the award-winning Kia EV6. Kia has released a couple of teaser images hinting at what we can expect from the 2025 model year.
Let's jump right in and dissect these shadowy glimpses. The most striking change is undoubtedly the new headlight design. Gone are the previous curved forms, replaced by a much sharper, angular C-shaped LED signature. This edgier look ties the EV6 more closely to Kia's recently unveiled electric offerings, like the EV9 SUV. Interestingly, the headlights connect to a thin trim piece that faintly echoes the brand's signature "Tiger Nose" grille seen on their gasoline-powered vehicles.
The rear taillights also receive an update, maintaining the single-piece design that stretches across the tailgate, but with a new, more intricate LED graphic that culminates in a triangular form.
While the teasers focus on the exterior tweaks, we expect some revisions inside the cabin as well. This could include a revamped infotainment screen layout and potentially a refresh of the controls on the center console. Don't expect a complete overhaul under the hood though. The hardware is likely to remain largely unchanged.
One exciting possibility hinted at by the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which shares its platform with the EV6, is the potential for a larger battery pack. The current top-tier option offers 77.4 kWh, but the 2025 EV6 might benefit from the Ioniq 5's upgrade to an 84.0-kWh battery, potentially boosting the driving range by around 20 miles.
While Kia hasn't announced an official debut date yet, we anticipate seeing the full reveal of the refreshed 2025 Kia EV6 within the next few months. So, stay tuned for further updates!
