I'm glad you enjoyed it Moya. The whole area is just stunning. It's probably one of the most relaxed camps I have had apart from when my beer started floating out into the loch 😳
You do travel in and through some of our most ancient and beautiful parts of Scotland.. I was up at Loch Hope this last weekend and the wind was gusting a tad... still and calm then hammock swaying the next... thanks for sharing sir....✌️👍
Enjoyed the video, the quarter of me that is Scots (I reckon it's my left leg) is starting to think about moving up from the South West of England as I get a little older. Good to see the Night Cat out again. I bought mine due to yours and several others reviews, what a tent for the money!
Hello there! A wee story to tell. My maternal Grandfather Cecil was Scottish, his sir name is Maree and my mother’s nickname was Penny. What do you think of this? Love your videos!
Were there ever inhabitants on this island? Does a Maree own this island? How did he come by this name? I too absolutely love camping but unfortunately I am an older woman now with health issues. I had a dream that one day I would visit Scotland but it never came to pass. Watching your videos is the best way to pretend that I’m there. Thank you so very much. ❤❤
@PuttiGatherers The islands were inhabited as far as I am aware, firstly by the Macbeaths then the Macleod and on Penny Island there was a chapel and a fortress on another. The Lochs waters were said to have heal8ng powers. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and it's comments like your that inspires me to share my adventures so thank you so much for your kinds words. Take care and have fun 🙏
What a peaceful video , tea with a brewdog next to the lapping water looked heavenly .
Interesting history of Penny Island , quite the place !

What a lovely video William. The scenery at Loch Maree is always so stunning. Looks like you had a fantastic trip in spite of getting a bit wet.

You would love it up here. I love the tent and the fact that it opens up the way it dies is perfect for this type of trip.
Great video, beauty location!
Details of Kayak?
Thanks, it's a Cambridge fishing kayak 😀

Pity your GoPro attachment broke as I'd love to have seen you battle the waves to get back from the island.
I know it would have been great footage. It was so much fun even though it was wild 😊🛶
