This one's a real beauty - easily my favourite of the singles released so far for the new album. I love Tati's extensive use of her *gorgeous* head voice clean vocals, and that section with the combined guitar & bass tapping with great drum groove is very special. Love the Opeth outro. *Great* tune, destined to be a Jinjer classic, IMO.
A little ironic talking about beer but you had no idea that the song would be about people struggling with alcoholism. (Tatiana has posted that she is 2 years sober) This is why I love Jinjer. How many metal bands write about fighting addiction in both a beautiful melodic way and in a gritty banger way. They are an evolution in metal. PS. The Jinjer beer idea is brilliant. I would buy one at a concert.
My favourite snippet of harsh backed by cleans in this song is only about 2 or 3 seconds long, starting at 1:21 of the OMV on the line "Lukewarm winе is his blood". The clean vocal follows a kind of descending, sliding chromatic scale that actually contributes to the creepy, demonic sound dominated by the harsh vocal. Jinjer really knows how to tease listeners by inserting tiny treasures at every turn!
I like that outro. Subverting my expectations is what Jinjer does so well. Lovely song and the high clean vocals were refreshing too. I'm looking forward to hearing the whole album in February.
Happy Holidays fellas. Good stuff. Gonna be a great album. I wonder if this is the last song that is released before the album drops. Or maybe they do an official OMV for Fast Draw, which we have already heard live this year. So doing an OMV on that wouldn't be a "new song", per se.
if you haven't watched yet, I suggest Audiotree's "Jinjer from Nothing" mini-documentary. The video can give that unplugged taste a bit. I mean you can take the answer of your "how would be an unplugged live with Jinjer" question. OC they didn't play the songs unplugged there but that live session kinda feels this way. It sounds very natural (min. post production) as if you were right next to the band.
I think the End is Perfect ! She finish with a good note like when a movie start calm then action suspence etc then conclusion going softer so then mid part so its a good variante move very brillant - DD
I'd be *so* on board with a straight-up jazz album by Jinjer. It wouldn't necessarily have to be all acoustic, or even all clean singing, but full-on jazz would be very awesome.
Trying to win you over with Spiritbox… Angel Eyes (Live) needs to be seen/heard before you form any opinions. Would love to hear your thoughts, lads ❤🇦🇺
lol Green Serpent is metaphorically referred to alcohol in russian. Bitten by green serpent in slavic tradition is symbolic of alcoholism and the depths of intoxication/addiction.....as for the song, the opeth outro is cool. Middle LOG breakdown is cool. Also kinda sounds like an angular proggy album cut on first listen, but quickly turns out to be a banger😂😂.....also tati looks hot here 😂😂 Jinjer - Audiotree From Nothing (Live Performance)
Just my opinion as far as the Vocal layering. Jinjer are an amazing live band and the layering would be difficult to do with only one vocalist. There is the possibility of using backing track but I do not think they like to use them very often.
the second voice is the guitar, listen carefully. Although in reality it is not important (listen to good music, and it does not matter whether it is Ukrainian or not. The main thing is not Russian music/propaganda.
I love your reviews, guys! I feel like you just dont "get" nor totally "understand" progressive metal. Myself being my genre of choice........get Jinjer. Your breaking down everything to fill a need for judgement.....really doesnt apply so much with PROG. Maybe your background and taste doesnt fully give you a proper perspective of this genre. Ive never seen Prog Metal bands on your reactions. Sad.....but i understand. Try to listen to it........you may find a new genre. Symphony X, Deam Theater, etc. Still....your channel is awesome!

I'll Hava a proper 12 to that
I love how this channel was a way to get Antonio into Metal and now it is this. Truly beautiful.
I still find it hard to believe

Amaizing track! 🤟🤟
In Slavic culture the serpent is alcoholism. Eugene and Tatiana are both sober now.
I have been sober for a year myself

Green serpent stands for alkohol addiction
What a voice, she is the best by far. And the single is the best in a loooong time after Teacher teacher.
Super ironic that you talk about them making their own beer and this song is about alcoholism.
I honestly didn’t know, they can always do a non-alcoholic beer
Iron Maiden have their own beer in the UK -Trooper
It’s very popular 🍺

And the drums sound like it's a jazzy sound also
A lot of metal drummers are influenced by jazz drummers
Even better, have a beer that’s an ale, and call it Jinjer Ale. Best of both worlds. Now I need kickbacks off of A&P’s kickbacks.
That's *perfect.*
At live nation venues, at the bar, at jinjer shows, they do indeed come up with a cocktail and call it jinjer ale.

Vlad composes alot and he comes from a jazz background.

I think the grapes represents Gods wrath and punishment. 🍇🤘
I love the the Opeth style of the song yo yeehaw!
Ive been sober for 3 months yo yeehaw!

Why's the guy on the left sound like a muppet? I keep expecting him to say "Hey Kermie...."

I dont see Taties Harsh Vocal as one Dimensional at all.....Harsh vokal often is, but she has so many different colours in Harsh
Harsh vocals are one-dimensional because they are unpitched.
The reason for not doubling harsh and clean vocals is that it makes it kinda difficult to perform live 😉
