- Dolph Lundgren talks to us about all-star action blockbuster sequel The Expendables 2 on the red carpet at the Jameson Empire Awards 2012 in London.
The giant action star talks about working with Sylvester Stallone again and what it's like on set with all the huge action star egos clashing. Dolph talks about what Chuck Norris and new bad guy Jean-Claude Van Damme will add to the mix for the second film.
Dolph also confirms that the basic plot of the second Expendables movie will see them going on a revenge mission after one of the heroes dies.
Dolph also admits that given the obvious fan appetite for the series it's more than likely that there will be a third instalment if the new film proves anywhere near as successful as the first.

dolph lundgren... if you grew up in the 80's and early ninety's, he is still a bad ass. and in fact the most comedic character in the movie. the dudes a beast.
Dolph is hilarious in it. Im glad they got rid of the villain side of his character. Just a feel good action film, I fuckin loved it.

Ya i just looked it up, one died in a explosion scene and two others were severely injured. That shit sucks when it happens, stunt men always take risks, as long as they are doing what they love to do, no regret.

I'm pretty sure it's Li :(. So far we've only seen him in two scenes and Hemsworth has been in 4 or so. "Track 'em, find 'em, kill 'em" scene would be my guess that it's placed shortly after the death of the Expendable
I'm not sure of the english term, but action movies are "popcorn flicks". You come for the excitement and action, and stay for the macho one-liners. Ask any film critic - no one comes for the story. And yes indeed, action movies are hollywood produced, glad you got that right.

my guess is ( given that rourke isn't in any of the posters ) that he is the one that has been killed..... a revenge mission is the story and hemsworth plays rourke's son who is there to avenge his fathers death.... just a guess

I was about to say that by doing so you take away from the awesome of each individual character as you can't squish them together in one movie. But Sigourney Weaver? Seconded. I want to see her in a grandma Kickass role unexpectedly breaking someone's neck.
