Spread them tracks out about 1 1/2 feet and put a gear box on it and wow what a mountain rescue machine you would have ! maybe a wider track to keep the machine from bottoming out and getting stuck. But wow what a nice machine !!!!!

Longer track, longer body, especially the rear for over hang to stop snow, slush, slop an mud reach in over the back, an possible injury to passengers via stones, rocks, ice large clods of mud etc. These may seem benign but, at speed these can b dangerous. The rear light issue. How long will it last with detritus hitting at speed? As with most snow machines, these normally have longer tails not just for muck an mush but, also a stable platform for gear. Also if your passenger goes off the back for some reason, I hate to think of the damage the track could cause. Is it possible to look at a larger from track drive wheel? It's neat to watch from a distance but can't really make out how it steers? Looks like two long tracks and the stacks bend in the middle . I would think a front and a rear track that can steer or crab would be practical .

Все внимательно посмотрел.Забавная машинка.По снегу едет как снегоход.Но ничем не лучше.За счет катковой подвески можно по тундре и по лесу и возможно по сухому болоту ездить.Но ни чем не лучше болотохода на шинах низкого давления. Не сможет он конкурировать с вышеуказанными транспортными средствами,нет у него перспектив. Но все равно мне машинка нравится.

@@mikemc246 I don't think so. I have 800 CC Boondogger and some experience on driving in deep snow. Traditional deep snow sleds are made on trick driving and need goog skills and good luck. You need lots of power and skis up towads the sky so you can steer by shifting you weight. Big part of the fun is to dig you sled up when you get stuck. I don't think you 600 powder special is up to the job. It's several years when I drive one, but compared to Boondogger, it is heavy and is lacking power. This sled is meant to be driven controllably in relatively deep snow. In such conditions, traditional sleds can't steer and end up getting stuck with a tree between the skis.
@@mikemc246 What it does is subjective but when comparing specs, I'm not impressed. Boondogger 207kg 164hp, cat about 235kg 105hp. I haven't tested a cat in a deep snow but acceleration wasn't very impressive. And if you wonder why 800cc etec is 164hp, in 2012 Lynx specified it that way. Later on power was downgraded since those engines used to blow up. I have't tested if it really deliver what is promised but it seems to be comparable to current 850cc etec and is totally different beast than 600cc etec.

@@carsongwin1816 torque, obviously the speed of that thing is slow so electric would be ideal. 100% torque at 0 rpm. Electric has 2x the torque. Plus that two stroke is old school, most likely a port injection carb. If it was an etec it would have better emissions and quieter.
@@YellowVtec Who cares about emissions on a sled? That two-stroke costs half as much as an electric motor, makes way more horsepower, can be charged immediately, and can be worked on by any mechanic. It also can go for more than 30 minutes on a single tank...

Pehmeässä pumpulilumessa kelkka sukelsi syvyyksiin ja koska ohjautuvuus oli huono ja hidas, ei vauhtia voinut ottaa pahoihin paikkoihin. No eiku kokeilemaan metriseen hankeen vuorta ylös. Lelu mikä lelu, ois kai noita enemmän käytössä. Telathan niistä aikanaan hajosi heti.
