I obviously don’t want to pin blame on anybody, I love all of the City players and I appreciate how hard they were working yesterday. But is anyone else wondering why Rodri didn’t a pen? I obviously understand that Pep never intended to go to pens so he took Haaland and KDB off with the intention of winning in 120 minutes, but I still think with the 11 men on the pitch, some of the pen taker choices were a bit weird. I’m also certain they’ve figured out the best pen takers on the training ground, I really feel it’s impossible to replicate the feeling and you really need the players who are most composed in the big moments. That is Rodri 100%. Regardless, love the message of the video, I still wore my city jersey proud the rest of the day, I don’t think you’d see a United fan go out of a tournament and keep the shirt on. We’re gonna push on and win, we’re not finished.
It's time to stop avoiding the elephant in the room. Erling Haaland is meant to be our main attacking threat but he was completely absent in the ucl quarterfinals against a depleted madrid defense. Sorry but that's completely unacceptable. All we needed was one goal to see us through and he provided absolutely nothing in attack. He has to take the majority of the blame for this loss. Our main problem in this game was scoring goals and that's his main job. World class strikers use their technical ability and work to create goal scoring opportunities for themselves but it seems like everything has to be created for him and layed out on a silver platter and he still might miss a sitter anyway. That performance from him in the biggest game on the biggest stage was absolutely pitiful. It's time to call it out for what it is. This is city and no one player is above the badge.
@@DeviousDucky552 well pep did take him off with the game on the line while all we needed was one goal to see us through. That tells you all you need to know about haaland's performance in that game. He has to improve his technical ability and his ability to contribute to chance creation for himself and others. He cannot just be a passenger waiting for sitters to be served to him on a platter.
Did anyone say he was above the badge? Come on now. First half Haaland’s run into space for the not good enough cross from De Bruyne jumps straight to mind. His job is to find the space and score goals. That’s what he does and he does it very well. He certainly didn’t need to be involved in the buildup when he broke every record last season and was denied 3 against Madrid in our 4-0. We can be disappointed, give credit to Madrid’s defense and move on without badmouthing our players.
@@IHamilton9320 I'm not trying to hear that move on without badmouthing players bs because you same people that say that when anyone criticizes Haaland have no problem absolutely trashing players like Walker and Doku when they're not doing their jobs. I'm saying keep that same energy for all the players. So when Haaland is crap and not doing his job he needs to be called out and criticized just like any other player in the squad, period.
Really proud of the team, that we left it all out there last night. There can't be many teams over the years that have forced the mighty Real Madrid to resort to 'parking the bus' - which just goes to show how far we have come as a club ! 💪 Also don't forget to remind any rival fans going on about 'history' this morning, that in previous years we would have gone through 4-4 on aggregate. Perhaps most disappointing was the (typically) horrendously biased headline on BBC website "Man City's Treble dreams left in tatters by Real" - which hardly bothered to give City any credit for their performance. Contrast that with the tone of their corresponding headline from last week for the woeful 0-3 loss by their beloved LIV'pool - "Liverpool suffer shock home defeat by Atalanta". Nothing about 'Klopps Last Season Left In Tatters..!' Anyway, I just hope that the team can now recover enough to be able to put up a decent contest with Chelsea on Saturday (when we should have been playing the Sunday Wembley fixture)..! It is going to be an even tougher game for us after last night. C'mon City..!
The players gave their all. I was absolutely gutted. My daughter wanted to talk about it this morning and I just could not. I can feel myself getting better and looking forward to the weekend. I can't fault the team at all.

Thanks for putting this into perspective. You are the only channel who I trust to listen to ATM, as it’s still hurting inside. We put on a strong performance but couldn’t capitalize before penalties… the wrong moment for it to happen. Let the MU fans and the like enjoy their moment as it’s the only straws they have to grasp. We still have a lot to play for! We are seeing a trend of very compact parked defenses even the great RM. Opponents are protecting the very pockets of spaces that Pep likes to exploit. We need to continue to grow and evolve tactically even with small adjustments. Maybe a way of more direct and accelerated play breaking the lines? I know we do attempt to when opportunities present, but the overall priority on possession can actually make it difficult to take the risk (we don’t want to give possession/counters to opponents) so tough to assess. Time to be proud… Cmon City!
what a match you guys gave us one hell of a match I lost 5kg by sweating two different spectrum of a game perfect offence and perfect diffence this has become the true El CLASICO in Europe ❤❤❤❤❤
Actually, it was a great offensive performance by RM. They were way more efficient than City. They needed 3 shots on target to get a goal, City needed 9, so in relative terms, way better offensively. Possession doesn't make history. Lifting the trophy does 😂😂 RM scored when they had to and defended when they had to, meanwhile City was passing the ball sideways
They played a defensive masterclass. On the other hand , City ran around like headless chicken for 100 minutes with 70 percent possession struggling to score a single goal .
Not worthy winner ?? Wtf . Mate you scored all goals against Luton , should have saved at least one goal . Would be useful against Madrid 😅😅😂 . Your possession and passes means nothing if you can can't win the game . At the end result matters most .😅
I feel the "league is harder to win than the ucl" points you make are kinda double edged. You say league is harder to win because you need consistency and there's less luck involved, but imo that weeds out the smaller clubs, they're gonna have a harder time to win a league because they don't have the consistency and that makes it harder for them, so it makes it easier for big clubs. On the other hand, with a tournament knock out based competition, you say it's easier because you can get lucky, but that makes it easier for smaller teams and gives them a bigger chance of an upset and that reduces the chance of big clubs to win it and therefore can be harder for them, so imo it balances out. You can't really say ucl is easier than the league when every club that won the ucl has even more leagues won. Just my opinion on the matter, good vid man. Loved the banter and the little jabs at rival teams lol. Cheers.

us City fans are guilty of the odd brain fart at times, most recently holding the ball back for our own player to take it, beyond believe. poor attempt from a normally unflappable Bernardo but clearly didnt help!
Not sad or hurt, just look at the bigger picture. REAL MADRID PARKED THE BUS AGAINST LICKLE CITY! But shit penalties, poor finishing and Walker doing his usual brain fart playing them onside by two yards fcked us up and can someone please tell Pep, playing Phil out wide is a complete waste of his talent. Thank you.
Sometimes the best team does not win an thats just football, hopefully the team will see this as an opportunity to concentrate on the title and FA cup.
Mate you played well but madrid came with game plan and they perfectly did their work and took the game to penalty shootout . Madrid knew they had to defend against city with their lives and oh man they did it wonderfully . They didn't even wanted to play counter attack or wanted to take ball position like first leg . They simply gave city ball and say do whatever you can ,break us if you can . Anyway good luck for pl and cup semifinal.
City are a great team obviously but this is meant to be the greatest premier league team or at least one of the greatest teams of all time meanwhile this is just another Madrid side that’s missing some important players not to mention not having a striker something which city used as an excuse as soon as they had any inconvenient result after agüero

Def disappointed but the players gave their all.. pens suck for everybody and we just ended up on the losing end... Proud of the boys... We def didn't go out with a whimper... Premier League and fa cup still achievable
Just a lottery mate 😢🩵🩵🩵
Please stop degrading the UCL because you want to feel better..City won it against Inter(and no one said it's because of luck) ..we know how the game unfolded. It's harder to win and that's why it took you over 120 years to lift it.
You cant win them all thats football. We cant be greedy one less worry and pressure to keep it up. Lets focus on winning the league which is a much bigger achievement. The Istanbul final will always be one of the greatest moments as being a city fan.
Our boys played well, we lost on penalties, nothing to disappoint. The way we lost on that semi final with few minutes to go , couple of years ago was a hurting one.
Super Atalanta ✨👊✨
hurts to see, but we can still win the prem and fa cup, never lose faith in the team, come on city 🩵🩵
As a Madrid fan I have to admit you guys have an excellent team of football, I trully respect you and I'm sure you'll come back stronger next year. Respect.🙏
This was the closest City got to winning a 2nd UCL and they blew it. Next year with the new format will be far more challenging.
Facts bro
Actually, considering City are definitely getting new players, and squad depth is key, I don't think we should count them out yet. Haaland and Co. just need to forget about this season, and get prepared for the next.
City favourites for next year CL.....Come on City 💙
Why will next year be more challenging ? Did you see how totally dominant they are to RM ?
It's gonna be hard with Mbappe at Real Madrid but we can do it
Funny how every city fan believe they have more value because they think they "Play well"
Foden, kDB, haaland, flat! Akanji, Duko, grelish, Rodri, had a good game,👍 very little shots out side the pen area👎 but still PROUD OF THE BOYS, FOR THEIR
That lack of shots from outside the box when we got all our goals from the first leg that way was really frustrating. Wonder why they didn’t even try
City passed around but never thrust toward the net. Madrid were just a bit better
Haaland and kdb won't be playing Saturday. Apparently both injured?
We will see 👀
Look it couldn't of been worse... We could of been knocked out by that power house ATALANTA 😂🤣
City were pragmatic during last season’s UCL final. They did what they had to do. Madrid consciously decided they were going to play the way they did and it worked
Average? That was defending masterclass. Seriously football dont mean that possession equal wins😂 defence wins titles.
Our lack of finishing came back to haunt us at the wrong time
It will cost City against Chelsea too.
I do not blame the players. May be I can blame Pep a bit. Madrid defended very well. They know (like nobody else) how to park bus. City should have fielded Kovacic-Rodri pair (like a week ago) and Doku+Grealish playing together and stretching the RMA defense. Perhaps Oscar Bobb a a substitute
Good to see you better again johnny. Im hurt like every other city fan. Heart breaking. Now lets go win the league
It does but not so much for me because we won our first UCL with a treble and it still lives rent free on my head...but what I want now is for us to win the League and break a record that we own ..
TypicalCity we are not as good as last season i told you. Gundogan and Mahrez are missing big time. Doku did the job tho fairplay to him.
Doku was great and Jack grealish
They should have played together and from the start. Help to stretch the defense (better to say rip the bus that was parked)
City is simply the best team in the world. We move on, support the coach and players in winning and losing. Cheera⏩⏩
So you have to be knocked out at home in UCL quarter finals to consider yourself the best team? Interesting...
Arsenal beaten by Bayern as they always do and Man C beaten by Real Madrid. Wake upp....The Premier League isnt that good as lot of people think. Bayer Leverkusen 24-1 in chances against West Ham. The Bundesliga is rocking now
Best at beating mediocre teams in the premiership and the good teams there always bottle it.

I felt bad for not doing the watch along, but honestly till now you are the only Man City UA-camr that you truly represent the image of the club in all terms, I had to watch some other guys but it was awful, thank you for defending the team it’s exactly what needs to be said, I was piss off from our fans who were out of the box insulting our players and PEP, you have to insist in every show to remind us how great we are and what we have achieved and I promise PEP will not rest till he win another treble and Inchallah next season the team will stronger and tactics will look something different Comon City and a big HI from Morocco 🇲🇦
At least we made it this far. We managed to keep it tidy last game
Remember Man City are the ONLY team to defend the treble.
Man Utd - if you recall- thought their treble SOOO important, they dropped out of the FA Cup the following season.
Devaluing the trophy for years.
It took another team-Man City - to win the treble then DEFEND it to bring the reputation of the FA Cup back to what it was
The FA(& Premier League) owe us - big time!
We are lucky to get to support such an amazing team
Sir Alex Ferguson knew a thing or two about football and he always said the Premier League was number one as it was the hardest to win.
I feel proud. The boys gave it their all. Madrid offered nothing going forward. Let's keep our heads up Cityzens there's still a lot to play for.
If it was Burnley instead of Real Madrid, we’d call it parking the bus. Little old city made the mighty Madrid park the bus
It is tournament mate...real madrid is not possession base team and play any style and that is why they have more trophy.....we won 15 UCL and u can keep the possession 😂
Absolutely spot on as always mate, extremely gutted at the result last night, it just wasn't meant to be, still incredibly proud of the lads and Pep for keeping up these incredible standards over the past 6-7 years, especially the mental side of things, to be top of the league at this stage of the season off the back of having already won the last 3 is beyond spectacular, not to mention being favourites this weekend to make another FA Cup final and having already collected the Club World Cup mid season, made even more impressive due to the hectic modern day football schedule, we have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of and have a really exciting remainder of the season!! 💙💙💙🏆🏆 Great to see your doing a little better also, your content is absolutely top draw mate and I can't praise you and your channel enough! 💙
De Bruyne’s side foot tap in over the Bar 😫 that told me how the outcome of the Match was going to be 😪
It feels really bad when we played so well but it is what it is but hopefully we win the double and next season we need a new gundo
Real Madrid was winning until minute 70. Masterclass competing.
100% correct in everything you said. City will soon be back
Excellent - Hugh quality - insightful analysis - thank you.
To think that a few seasons ago we would have been through on away goals. Kinda miss it
City dominated the game and I am so proud of my team I love them even more if that was at all possible. Onwards and upwards!!! Come on City 💪💪🩵🩵🩵💋💋
Madrid actually dominated City, which is even funnier. No main GK, two main CB with ACL injury, no defensive midfielder and no starting striker yet guys over 30 like Carvajal, Nacho and Rüdiger were the ones keeping Grealish, Foden, Silva and Haaland silent for almost the entire game. City generated an embarassing 2.7 xG in 33 shots over 120 minutes. RM forced City wide all game and City despite passing the ball a thousand times, did not know how to penetrate into the box. Doku was the only one who truly made the difference and created clear cut chances that were not solely influenced by mistakes from defenders. Even Henry said that City barely had clear cut chances. They were mostly generated from small mistakes by Madrid. I remember Man City parking the bus against Atleti after being up a goal and no one complained. Man City scored the same amount of goals as Real Madrid over both legs. Madrid put up a 90s Italian defensive masterclass. They won the pen shootout because of Rüdiger, Kepa and Lunin, they won on a tactical level. Madrid dominated both legs by scoring early and taking the lead or scoring quick after Man City scored. Man City never led in the tie for more than 10 minutes, over 2 matches. They were constantly chasing the score whilst Madrid when scoring were able to defend their lead for way longer. Madrid were actually better offensively for scoring goals with less chances and defensively for not allowing to be scored against despite City's posession. Having the ball most of the time and playing like clowns with 33 shots resulting in 1 goal sounds worse than old school Italian defending. The only one I truly respect, is suprisingly Doku. He wasn't tapdancing then passing the ball back unlike Grealish but actually risked losing the ball by creating bigger chances.
@@IscoMadrid-fd7fy how much do you pay for that good stuff you must be taking 🤣 and can you get me some 🤡
That Bernardo silver penalty needs to be added to Man City's 115 charges 😂
It won't stop Pep from starting Haaland every game despite his awful performances.
@@CTID_BLUEMOON well if that's true then that's even worse. Especially for Haaland since he's young and should be able to run all day.
Really proud of the team, that we left it all out there last night. There can't be many teams over the years that have forced the mighty Real Madrid to resort to 'parking the bus' - which just goes to show how far we have come as a club ! 💪
Also don't forget to remind any rival fans going on about 'history' this morning, that in previous years we would have gone through 4-4 on aggregate.
Nothing about 'Klopps Last Season Left In Tatters..!'
Anyway, I just hope that the team can now recover enough to be able to put up a decent contest with Chelsea on Saturday (when we should have been playing the Sunday Wembley fixture)..! It is going to be an even tougher game for us after last night. C'mon City..!
Lol...real madrid is relatively in rebuild stage yet the beat the so called best team in the world
It’s gonna hurt even more if city win the FA and the PL knowing they were 2 pens away from possibly a 2nd treble
The players gave their all. I was absolutely gutted. My daughter wanted to talk about it this morning and I just could not. I can feel myself getting better and looking forward to the weekend. I can't fault the team at all.
Always proud of are city 💙 and love the way you all ways see the silver lining with ever situation. If we went back 20 years and told us we would even play in the knock out stage of the champions league we would say it would never happy so we should be so proud of what we have all accomplished as city fans over the last 15 years 💙💙💙 blue moon forever and love the content please keep it up 🙏
Look its gone let's move on.
Let's beat chelski.
Time to be proud…
Cmon City!
31 chances and only one goal suggests a nighty fk up and only have ourselves to blame.

City have been playing non-stop football since late March, while Madrid have been playing since idk, how tf is this allowed
Actually, it was a great offensive performance by RM. They were way more efficient than City. They needed 3 shots on target to get a goal, City needed 9, so in relative terms, way better offensively. Possession doesn't make history. Lifting the trophy does 😂😂
RM scored when they had to and defended when they had to, meanwhile City was passing the ball sideways
Still proud of City🩵
We will comeback stronger regardless the challenges
R Madrid, played prime Sheffield Utd . Their passing was piss poor,
Not worthy winners 👎
Actually we were, you missed so many chances and those penalties that you took were awful. You can half the dominance, we take the win.

Smartest man city fan
Cheers.
Totaly agree with ya brother &on all accounts well done Madrid like you say defended well&your a team like them to do that just shows respect for our boys cos like most teams scared of are attacking style, keep going&hopefully get the double 👍as before get well soon johny👊
So what hurt more was HAALAND asking to come off knowing pens were likely.... Bottled it..... Respond to that on your show instead of sugar coating.... HAALAND, KDB stay on then we probably win the shoot out....
We can go again next season. We need to fix our quality on set pieces. Need to improve our squad. City won’t win a treble with the current players we have. We should focus on securing the Leauge title, that would be amazing after a sloppy season

Me too, I couldn't believe City threw it all away last night. They had plenty of opportunities to win the game, that's why it's so disappointing.
If we had a points system after 90 minutes like in boxing, City would be in the semis easily. Penalties are a ridiculous idea.

Doku-Grealish should have played from the start. I think that Pep made a mistake by not fielding Doku right after the 1-st half. It was obvious that madrid will keep the bus parked in front of their goals.
The beautiful game? Not if you are a Madrid fan...
us City fans are guilty of the odd brain fart at times, most recently holding the ball back for our own player to take it, beyond believe. poor attempt from a normally unflappable Bernardo but clearly didnt help!
We didn't lose to Real Madrid, yes Real Madrid is the greatest club in the world of football, that's an undisputed fact, it simply is what it is, but we lost to OURSELVES, the chance we missed, the crystal clear opportunites wasted is UNACCEPTABLE and i feel not enought City fans are saying that, we should NEVER EVER think that is accpetable or even ok to get to the pitch and display what we saw yesterday, if this club wasnt to keep themselves at the top and have and absolutely impenetrable mentality, we NEED to sort this out. Yesterday i saw and arrogant City thinking they could win the game at any giving time just because they best Real Madrid last season 4-0, the sheer arrogance i've been seeing from this team this season is apalling, missing chances like idiots, shite defensive system, etc. I'm proud to be a fan of this football club, but i'm not proud of this team lack of fucking fire this season!
