As Estonian I can say, there's nothing more Estonian than this song. Folklore history + new school party music + dark humour + and message about drugs and miss labeling people.
2003. Ruffus. Still going to stand by it. Only one I was 100% behind. But the day of NF this year heard this one, times are morbid enough, uplifting jumping around mess is needed.
Estonian here. I really thought that this would be a winner this year. We usually send not so good songs or hit and miss every couple of years. But it was a first time for me since La Forza, when I actually liked our Eurovision competition song chances to win after listening other songs. I am glad you liked it and seems people all over the world as well- it was in Spotify top 10 song of Global Viral and was in that place couple of weeks.
Haha as an estonian I absolute love this one, Eurovision is bound to be silly from a long time ago. I am so glad we sent this collab and not some sobby bulls**t
There are 2 famous Estonian bands performing the song: a hip-hop group 5 miinust (translates as 5 minuses and the number 5 is pronounced "Viis" [ve:s]) and folk duo called Puuluup (it's a palindrome formed from 2 Estonian words: "Puu" meaning tree (or wooden) and "Luup" meaning either loop or also magnifying glass. They use loopers in their music, so it refers to that as well. The instrument they are playing is talharpa and is called Hiiu kannel in Estonian (referring to Hiiumaa, second biggest island of Estonia), sometimes it's also referred to as Swedish bowed harp because the instrument was brought to Estonia from Sweden centuries ago but is no longer widely known/played in Sweden anymore).

You made a great choice there😍.
Dare I say Estonias best entry ever
Easily. This song goes so hard.

They got 60% of all votes in the final ...
What do i say? Winner alert:)))
There is nothing else to say. This has televote winner written all over it (as long as it gets to the final: surely it’s got to get to the final).
But isn't semi final based on public voting though? Well last year was like that.
It’ll get to the finals easily. It’s in semi final 2 which doesn’t have as many heavy hitters.
This dance is folk dance from Vormsi iseland. One youtube comment wrote it was danced before hunting. )
Oh wow! I had no idea. Fascinating. Thanks for the info @virmaline108 ☺️
