Revit Tips (Day 260) - Split columns and wall at levels

  • For columns, you can use Copy/Monitor to create new split columns at the same location of the original ones.
    For walls, you probably need to split them manually.
    If you find some better way to do it, please let me know.

    Sir, is there any way for automatically joining two elements like for example when i put wall throgh columns, columns are seen like they have been splited and wall is going through them. This makes plan looking bad and have to manually join join every wall to column.

      Try architectural columns, they will automatically join with walls and apply the same finish of the walls.

      @@BINHE615 but when we make a big building it is convenient to use column at grid feature which is exclusive to structural column.

      I don’t think you can join structural columns with walls, can you?
