Great analysis guys but would just line to highlight that Pant started his test career very young as you guys said while Gilly made his test debut almost at the age at which Pant currently is(i.e 27-28) which is the maturity age for batter so I really feel he can be a updated version of gilly and hoping he excels at that.✌️
Good one bro , one more thing ti factor is even when he was out with accident he is still in top 3 batters who have scored run shows some volume of his ability.
And RP completely missed 2019 home season where he could score 3-4 centuries easily. When Rohit & Mayank scored crazy runs. Till 2021 he only played SENA matches except 2 matches at home against WI. When you consider everything RP is a Monster.
IMO, he will be by the end of his test career. He’s already played 8-10 innings in the most difficult conditions/game scenarios that have blown my mind.
I accept gilchrist is far better than pant but the intent he have is similar to gilchrist. dont compare them. just enjoy pant batting and hope he play crucial role in winning test matches for a decade.
gilchrist won 3 world cups for australia and a much better wicketkeeper than pant. Pant may break gilly's test runs but gilly would always be better than pant
@@navneetbharadwaj2169simple reason is u have watched gilly playing for more than 10 years while pant is on and off played just 4 years Wait for 7-8 more years
Good analysis, but it's bit of a stretch to compare Pant to Gilchrist. He improved as a keeper but no where close to Gilchrist and we all know there are other better keepers with better stats. Batting is the only thing that's going good for him in Test, I don't understand his hype in other formats
Hype is not just because of the numbers but the potential a player holds and the impact he can create when he's at his best...This is the difference between a casual cricket watcher and someone who knows the ins and outs of the game and has got an excellent eye for talent...Take a Sourav Ganguly for example or even MS who backed their players to the hilt and produced so many gems for Indian Cricket...
Just chill out and stop over hyping! he needs to play for at least 5-8 years to just starting comparing him with Gilchrist. He is playing good and just chill and let him play. Other country will start trolling him if he has a bad patch if you over hype him.
there is no over hype- all we've done is painted the story with numbers to show the reality of the situation for the specific reason that people don't compare for the sake of it
So, Adam's era was from 1999 - 2008, and scored 5570 runs, and Sangakkara scored 3093 runs from 2000 - 2008. So, you're stating that he scored more than 9000 runs ( TOTAL RUNS - 12400) from 2009 - 2015, which doesn't make sense.
These are runs scored by the respective players when they played as designated wicketkeepers in their respective squads. All in all, Sanga scored 6466 runs during the 2000-2008 period but he was not a designated keeper for a good chunk of matches at the time.

spot on!
Gilchrist was just something else. He may be on the trail of being as great as Gilchrist but not there yet

@Arya-mk2ru exactly
100 vs sa was his best innings
That 4th inning knock?
Not sure about Gilchrist but pant has succeeded msd and any other Indian wk batter in test by miles
In tests... Completely agree!
more than rishab stats, that bar graph where Gilchrist is way ahead of Sangakkara is mind blowing
that was of course for the period of Gilchrist's test career but yes, it was a surprise to us as well!
Great analysis!!
Really liked your work...🙌🏻
In test there is no question that pant is an extraordinary player and he prove it,but in white ball as of now he is pretty below average
Good analysis bro..
in red ball cricket, he is a legend. bt him being very slow in t20s n ODI's while being fast n attacking in Tests is ironical
8:51 Oh my god, an average of close to 70 with near 100 strike rate. What a beast.
IMO, he will be by the end of his test career. He’s already played 8-10 innings in the most difficult conditions/game scenarios that have blown my mind.
Man, Adam Gilchrist was better than MS Dhoni anyday anytime... So basically there is no comparison btw him and Rishabh Pant
Pant is better than dhoni but not than gilchrist
"He is not a home track bully" - tight slap on rohit and msd😂
Gilchrist test average was 47.6, not 56 or something. 56 is a surreal number to average in test cricket, that too for someone batting at 7.
we were referring to the first 38 test matches
i think kumar sangakkara is highly underrated.

Pant has the potential to score 8000 test runs for India and 5000 odi runs . If he does that he is better than gilly ?
"always" clearly displays your mindset

Pant ❤
Just stick to kohli and pujara videos

Definitely, he's got a long way to go and his white ball numbers are subpar
Not a real suprise that they make such ridiculous comparisons
Their cricketing knowledge is only what happens in India and ipl 😂

Jurel is better glove man than pant ( not batsman)
