Put parchment paper on top of cupboards
That’s what I do too! Just throw them away and lay more parchment paper.
I absolutely love that idea! But, I have lights on top of my cupboards (like white Christmas lights) would those burn the parchment paper? Let me know your thoughts please 🙂
@@carolbullard7956 they shouldn’t burn if they are newer lights. You could always try it. You could also use aluminum foil.
I would think parchment paper would be safe since it's used in ovens.

The ceiling is like night and day- what a great job! I use a razor blade knife when I clean my oven door- it works like a charm.

Pro painter tip: always use flat paint on ceilings. Semi gloss show’s imperfections. Bonus: flat paint is cheaper ❤ Just a good tip to remember. It’s to do with the way it catches the light. Happy Easter
Love, love,love this video. White ceiling looks great. For a no cost top of cabinet liner you can use newspapers. Just fold them to fit the space so they don’t show and throw them out and line them again when needed. So nice to see Marion up and about. Blessings for you and your whole family for Easter.

Just an idea for under your kitchen sink you can stick floor tiles under there to protect the wooden shelf in case of a spill or leak. You did a very good job on that ceiling. The whole kitchen really is so cute. I kept saying to myself "move all those pretty things dont get paint on them!" Happy Easter.

When we were kids, my mom got so tired of cleaning the tops of cabinets. Our kitchen didn't have lots of cabinets, so my dad built smaller cabinets to fill the space to the ceiling. She put less used items up there. No more kitchen goo to clean up there. She could wipe everything down easily. Hope Marion is doing better. Great job on your ceiling. Just watching made my arms hurt, lol. Praying for Marion's full recovery. Love from Chicagoland.

The leaded glass above her sink is one of those window clings you can squeegee onto your windows using water. I really like the ones I have with the frosted etched glass look. Great for privacy.

I put plastic on the floor of my cabinet in the sink under the sink like a paint throw fold it up and cut the fit it so I don’t damage the bottom of my cabinet floor if I have a leak. Works pretty good for me.

I only clean the top of my fridge, cupboards, etc. once a year. It's amazing how much grease & grime builds up! I wish I had a vent above my stove because I think that would help cut the grease & grime down. I do my deep cleaning in the late summer/early fall. I like to have it all done before I start decorating for the upcoming fall/winter holidays. 🙂 The cleaner that you used on the top of the cupboards worked great! I'm going to get me some of that for sure! Your ceiling came out great too. I feel so satisfied after watching this video 😂

Hi! Your spring cleaning has certainty motivated me! Now come on over and do my kitchen. I promise that you wont have to paint. We already did our ceiling and the walls. 😊
I have a tip for you. If you want to save yourself having to scrub the bottom of your oven , get one of those flexible oven guards specifically made for catching all of the drips and spills. They fee like vinyl, but they are heat resistant. You can take them out and wash them, and reuse them, although, I do replace mine about once a year with a new one.

I put plastic wrap on top of my cabinets and my refrigerator. It makes clean up so much easier.
Ok forget to mention but I put paper towel or newspaper on top of my cabinets now to save a bit of elbow grease. It saves the grease building up on the wood 🤓🇬🇧
Good thing you had that container under your sink to prevent that water getting to your wood in the cabinet. 🌼 The ceiling looks great and the whole kitchen 🌼 I keep my glassware baking dishes in that “warming tray” drawer on the bottom of my stove since I don’t have room for them anywhere else 😂 wow! Doing all you did would have literally took me about a week! I could only do one or two items per day. 🌼

Now that your oven has been thoroughly cleaned, Temu sells those oven proof sheets to lay at the bottom of your oven to catch spills. Those could help make your life easier. Awesome is the best stuff. I use it to clean many things. Great degreaser just let it set for a few minutes before wiping. Best Dollar Tree find. Can be diluted too or use full strength. Great on outdoor bbq grill tops.

Boy Arika that was a total clean from top to bottom. The ceiling looks so good. Brightens the whole room. If you ever have a paint job that you know you have to do at least a couple of coats use Kilz for the first coat and the next one just glides on with no bleeding through. Arika I hope Marion is much better. I never heard what happened. I hope and have been praying that he has a full recovery. Again the ceiling looks great. And it sure is exhausting painting or cleaning the ceiling. You guys take care and God bless. I will see you in the next one.

Use dawn power wash and your scraper on your oven. Let the dawn sit for 30 minutes then scrape. I did it for the first time last week. It was the cleanest my oven has ever been. Works great on the tops of you cupboards too.
