Yes!! Omg it's as if no one wants to realize that , everyone points out who played who,...they had it easier etc. Just beat the team your playing and your Champs.
This really made me do a Ron Maclean impression. "THIS and other losses for the Leafs like when the were up 4-1 against Boston in 13 that resulted in tragedy were both mentioned in Anne Frank's final diary about what's it like to have a powerful enemy. Yeah, 18th straight year in the hockeycaust." Wonder how Leafs fans would react to those words if Ron actually said it on HNIC.
some people said it best, the Maple Leafs lack of killer instinct and it showed yesterday (again !) they were indeed the better team in this series but game 7...they just gave up
Connor McDavid lifted The Oilers on his shoulders almost single handedly, yet Austin Matthews didn't even show up for his team and he has more support around him for that something wrong there
And this is why I laugh at leafs fans that say Matthews is better than McDavid. Go look at playoffs stats for both players and you’ll see a significant difference
it won't matter. Oilers barely survived the Kings but they won't get past Colorado to get to the Final. They could even fall to Calgary if they win their series with Dallas. One thing's for sure, no canadian team has won the Cup since '93 and this year will be no different.
Its possible for the Toronto Maple Leafs to do well in 2022/2023 NHL season and make to the Stanley Cup finals, but that's where it will end for the Toronto Maple Leafs, because I'm expecting the Edmonton Oilers to win the Stanley Cup this year and be returning Stanley Cup champions next year.
How do you feel about Spring following Winter which follows Autumn which follows Summer? Tampa Lightning didn't even exist decades after the Leafs last won the cup and in 11 years won it all and have been in 3 more finals winning a total of 3 cups. Something is seriously wrong with Toronto's management and ownership. There is a culture of losing in the organization and the fans are a part of it. The Leafs are one of the richest franchises in the league because the idiot fans continue to reward them for losing. There is zero incentive to win. The money still flows in through sellouts, merchandise, vending and TV revenue regardless of the outcome of the game.
Preach , if youve ever spoke to a leaf fan ull know they know nothing about hockey , the just repeat what they heard pierre mgwier say , when evwryone stops going thats when they will win
That’s because they are Canadas team. It’s the same thing with the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL. Constantly underperforming but people love them because of their history.
It’s not fans fault they’re loyal to their team and not bandwagons to go to another team just because they’re winning. It’s all solely on Dubas and management not fans who are the reason the team is still relevant. Don’t you ever dare blame Toronto loyal fans

@@kermitfrog593 That's true. At least this this time they didn't play like a dumpster fire and gave everyone a genuinely good hockey series to watch. Let's see what happens next season now
Tampa Bay won two Stanley Cups because they didn't make whole sale changes to the team when things went wrong. If you look back three years, we were swept by the lowly Blue Jackets in the first round, but the team learned from their mistakes, and their experience payed off in the end. You've got a great team, don't blow it by advocating unneeded changes to your team.
unfortunately Florida isn't Canada when it comes to hockey... they are allowed to lose down there and not have to have it hang around their neck's like a concrete block... They'd be crying blow it up if it was a 3rd round exit... or a finals loss.. its what we do up here. Look at Vancouver in 2011... burned the f&*ckin city down haha.... now look at them since.
One of the truths are, the Lightning are also more smart when it comes to paying their players and balancing out their squad. The Poverty Leafs will never win the entire thing when they spend most of their cap on a select couple players lmao. They need be supporting players, and more balance; if they do that, perhaps they can get pretty far in the playoffs. But if they don’t… I can’t really see them doing that :/

They overlooked the three calls 2 in game 6. And the one in 7th game. Never seen a call on a score taken and a penalty given. Officials where bribed or drunk.
Shanahan was a great player and he was a clutch player in the playoffs for the Red Wings. He needs to build a management team and player team in his own image. However, he has had plenty of time to do this. I think we need chnage and it needs to start at the top.
The leafs are right where we were in 2018-19. They need the grit. They are overloaded on skill players that dont want to get hit, or hit others. Nylander is a prime example. He took 1 big hit from Cernak, and every time he seen a hit coming he turned it over, or froze. When Mathews is your most physical person on the ice, you know something is wrong.
Bring in Trotz or DeBoer, they would help change to bring more of a defensive identity. Also trade Nylander to free up some $$ and search for some pieces that could help. Doesn't always have to be a superstar (look at Nick Paul) just players who can get you past that "fine line"
Smartest thing uve ever done , the ppl in this city are to stupid to know that the leafs will never win EVER , go find another team and enjoy hockey , what mlse is selling isnt hockey its just leafs and its garbage every year , if u remain a leafs fan u must not like hockey very much

I like how they say"well tampa is a good team"ya you have to beat the good teams to get the cup its called the playoffs
Lol oh ya Wayne Simmons would definitely been a difference maker
Honestly Toronto outplayed Tampa in this series. Tampa just knows how to get it done in crucial moments
Lmao love the copium
Honestly ??? Same OLD EXCUSES !!! If the leaves had out played them , they wouldn't be playing golf this morning !!!
some people said it best, the Maple Leafs lack of killer instinct and it showed yesterday (again !) they were indeed the better team in this series but game 7...they just gave up
1967
Stop the excuses the laughs choked again.
Dude at 1:20 says it’s disgusting but really I think he’s talking about himself lol 😆😆😆😆😆
@@sjdrifter72 Yes for sure last two Canadian teams to make the Stanley Cup finals was Montreal last year and Vancouver in 2011
Mmm yes, the Kings vs the Bolts
lol! there is a difference between playing the kings and the BACK TO BACK STANLEY CUP CHAMPS
That first guy is so right this should have been the ECF. As a Bolts fan, just let me say it was a hell of a series and your time is coming.
My prediction for the leafs next year.
DO GOOD ALL YEAR AND OUT FIRST ROUND😂🤣😂🤣
it's gonna tear my heart out if they ever win
I predict the same. Also gotta keep the tradition alive hahaha.
Embrace your misery Toronto. This is a great loss, but not as satisfying as last year when they clearly quit against the HABS.
@@juliansitarski6533 Pierre McGuire LOL
One guy I got whole group got it right 🤔, Toronto had a great year they're up against a team with two Stanley cups in a row I'm an Islanders fan and watch the Islanders win 4 Stanley cups Tampa Bay is on fire Toronto you guys had a great year....✨💪👍😎🇺🇸🗽....
Wow, at 1:35 those two guys, I remember that look, from the very early 90s lol
fun fact: The Maple Leafs are the only team in history to lose a game 7 in 5 consecutive years, which includes the NHL, MLB and NBA.
the thumbnail tho
I wanted to throw my drink on the Ice… LOL 😆 classic
Waffles are expensive nowadays
Leafs hold your heads up...best team in the nhl next to the BOLTS. Great series. If leafs would have one i would have liked them in the cup champs. guy at 1:04 was SPOT ON!
Tough draw to get Tampa in the first round. I'd say maybe they'll learn something from the champs but it's been how many years now? Better luck next year Leafs. I really don't know what the fix is but hopefully they can find it one day
After blowing 3-1 to the eighth seed last year, they deserved a tough draw. No excuses. This is a dumpster fire team.
@@kermitfrog593 That's true. At least this this time they didn't play like a dumpster fire and gave everyone a genuinely good hockey series to watch. Let's see what happens next season now
@@kermitfrog593 will leafs ever get past first round even if they fire Dubas and trade one of core members for better defence or are they cursed
@@Relive-Anime true, they played better this year, will give them that.
@@dewman7477 cursed
But if they don’t… I can’t really see them doing that :/
@@brianweir9885 lol. You know nothing about Tampas loyal fan base. You are why everyone hates Leaf fans.
@@robertwyatt9436 Chimes in 10 months later hahaha. Hope you feel better getting that off your chest. It takes a special kind of stupid to compare the hockey market in Florida to one of the oldest Professional teams in sports.
I don’t think anyone can be disappointed in the leafs they played there asses off and this is coming from a oiler fan they took Tampa to 7 they should be dam proud
I was their when the make me laughs won their last cup

Lol Wayne Simmons in the lineup lollll
They overlooked the three calls 2 in game 6. And the one in 7th game. Never seen a call on a score taken and a penalty given. Officials where bribed or drunk.
I’ll see you there? Okay Luca how’d it go bawd!??? You dawg.
Shanahan was a great player and he was a clutch player in the playoffs for the Red Wings. He needs to build a management team and player team in his own image. However, he has had plenty of time to do this. I think we need chnage and it needs to start at the top.
And he never played for the Leafs, I wonder why?
Couldn’t agree more, Shanahan needs to go first
The leafs biggest problem was lack of size and grit. Wayne Simmons should have been in the lineup. Their a couple power forwards away from a dynasty.
This guy gets it.
Wayne Simmonds would have served what purpose, exactly? The Leafs lost on the scoreboard not because of some intangible.
@@scrambie The same purpose Pat Maroon serves in Tampa.
@@scrambie Simmons is all heart. It's a combination of talent and heart that wins. Just like last year. The habs had more heart.
Last girl wants some Luca Magic
The leafs are right where we were in 2018-19. They need the grit. They are overloaded on skill players that dont want to get hit, or hit others. Nylander is a prime example. He took 1 big hit from Cernak, and every time he seen a hit coming he turned it over, or froze. When Mathews is your most physical person on the ice, you know something is wrong.
Those three guys from Newfoundland came right out of the 70’s
1:50....definitely from Newfoundland.

Guy with a dart biggest beauty of course
The Gary bettman conspiracy lives on..
And now it’s 55 years since they last won a cup insane
2 guys in the caps are chill
Watching from Alberta. Laughing.
The Leafs are a very good regular season team, so they should avoid the playoffs. It would save their fans a lot of heartbreak.
they avoid them every year. They are golfing by mid May
all these guys are thankful for the beer
Respect to the flyers fan at 2:40…we had a dumpster fire of a season 😬and Leafs
Payed well
Bring in Trotz or DeBoer, they would help change to bring more of a defensive identity. Also trade Nylander to free up some $$ and search for some pieces that could help. Doesn't always have to be a superstar (look at Nick Paul) just players who can get you past that "fine line"
The Newfie flyers fan looks like he came straight out of F is for family.
@2:22 is that guy standing on a curb? Looks like a giant lmao
I was a fan for 30 years until last year, made it hurt alot less being a free agent lol
You were never a fan
Better off really
Smartest thing uve ever done , the ppl in this city are to stupid to know that the leafs will never win EVER , go find another team and enjoy hockey , what mlse is selling isnt hockey its just leafs and its garbage every year , if u remain a leafs fan u must not like hockey very much
As A sabres fan I am also disappointed , would be nice to see new teams go deeper into the playoffs
Should have been a Conference final? Have you ever heard of Florida and Carolina?
You mean Tampa and Carolina
@@TheOvieShow I just mentioned two teams that are as good or better as the Leafs and bolts. I do think the top four in the east were Florida, Canes, Leaf’s and bolts.
I have a feeling y’all will make it to the 2nd round next year.
A few lineup changes last night might have gotten it done for the leafs
1/2 those are VERY clearly under the influence of alcohol!
Luca face tells you how we all raptors fan feel about leafs every year lol we are not sad but also wanted to talk about it
@1:24 the guy in the middle looks like he came from the early 80’s
Personally I have to throw in with the fan that asked why Justin Holl was playing instead of Timothy Liljegren. I feel like this was all Sheldon Keefe proving his point when he was asked in a post game press conference why he was playing the teams worse defenseman, and he said he didn't think he was.
The salt is hilarious!
That first dude 👍

yea, as a MN wild and North stars fan i can honestly tell you. . . . you dont know how deep pain can go. try having 2 franchises with 0 cups and one team that hasn't passed the first round either (except for 2 times, when they got utterly destroyed in the second round). . . . .
