I have the pilot 39 with Archimede and Automatik written on the dial, blued hands and bracelet and a 6 o'clock date. I love it, it's like a budget IWC Mark XVIII but with a better placed date wheel imo it's cool you can customize a little bit with Archimedes and the customer support was great.
Very nice watch. I have a dress watch from another Pforzheim brand, Limes. It too is beautifully built, and was quite reasonably priced when I purchased it 3 years ago, especially when compared to the 'big' brands pricing. Great review.
I had my eye on this for a while. This watch actually had a lower WR rating back then, then it was increased to 100 m, which is great especially for a watch that has a push-pull crown. With that said, I still wouldn't risk it. With cheaper Fliegers having a screw-down crown, this should have it. The deal breaker for me is the ghost date position. At the price, it should be non-existent. Otherwise, this would've been a good value. Archimede has a lot of catching up to do with other micros in terms of feature set and finishing. Those who lead the pack offer things that check most of the boxes. And those who do offer tool-less micro adjustment, which should be standard on all watches from hereon out.
Yeah it's weird I'm wearing mine right now and the blued hands look much better than the ones here. I paid for the blued hands in the form of an upgrade. Maybe it's just the lighting.
@@MrBacchus18 100% sure. Its like Rolex and Tudor. This Archimede is the more budget friendly division where they can also try out new designs. STOWA is stowa a true military watch that they do not want to muddy the waters they swim in.
@@canadianwatchmonkey3992 Archimede is an Ickler brand, I've never seen anything linking Stowa to Ickler before. Where are you getting this information?
@@canadianwatchmonkey3992I think that Archimede is an independent brand. Both are from Phorzheim in Germany, but Archimede belongs to Ickler family, and so does Limes and Defakto.
Great vid, Keep it up😊

I have exactly the same model, 39mm with date and blued hands. I love it!
Beautifully made and with its thinness it can function as a dress watch. More Archimede watches please!
I'd love to see a comparison pf this to your Laco Flieger Pro on the Laco bracelet. I love that watch and have been wanting one for some time now.
Sorry, this one was just a loaner and is already on its way back to the brand.

Just about to pull the trigger on this watch. Want it as an everyday watch. How would you feel with surface swimming without a screw down Crown?
As long as you're confident that you can keep crown pushed in, you'll be fine.
Is this better than Loca Flieger Pro that you have?
No, but it's not as expensive either
Nice.

Those blue hands look pretty cheap compared to those of Laco/Stowa..

Looks like Sinn 556?
Other than having a black dial and white indices, which many other watches have, no it does not.
Yeah…not at all. It looks like a Type A flieger. The 556 is based on Sinn’s own cockpit clocks.
Archimede is owned by Stowa. ❤
Are you sure that's true?
