I am an English, calm, community loving middle aged and slightly greying British man born in a rural corner of my country who has felt pushed to question my upbringing and historical heritage in the past few years. It's not okay anymore and I would say the same if I was Spanish, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Italian or whichever state. Britain is one of the only major countries that our people are now criminalised if they hold up a valid opinion protecting our green and pleasant land. My Grandfather wasn't on the beach of Normandy 80 years ago for no reason.

I feel optimistic for the first time in a long time. This election feels so different from past years as if our people know just how serious this one is for our future and the generations to come.
