3D mapping using two cameras in OpenCV and Python

  • Distance cannot be perceived by one eye. The aim of my project was to find x, y, z coordinates of an object with respect to the origin(camera).
    I used a setup of two cameras to capture the images. For processing the images I used OpenCV in Python.
    I successfully found the 3 coordinates of all the objects. In a range of 5 meters, I got results accurate up to 10 cms.
