- Recovery efforts are underway after two Transnet trains collided and derailed in Northern Kwazulu Natal Monday morning. One Transnet Freight Rail train rear-ended the other Transnet freight train that was stationary in eLubana.
Derailments are not uncommon in South Africa with industry bodies saying the latest incident underscores the risks of outdated manual systems.
Professor Jan Havenga from the Department of Industrial Engineering at Stellenbosch University discussed this with eNCA.

Frankly l think this is something of a miracle. I mean there were actually 2 trains running. No wonder they collided.
😂😂😂😂

Truckers dont like competition.
Well, the ANC have never been ON TRACK....
THANKS TO A NATHER FUCKUP ..THANKS TO THE ANC
SA ports and rail totally dysfunctional thanks to diverting money to Cuba, Gaza, Yemen, Iran
What are you talking about?show receipt for your claims.
@@musti2140 Exactly why the country is poor. Use your brain the country spoke about sending money to Cuba not long ago and do actually think the Genocide case that South Africa has filled was free circumstantial evidence might not not be tangible but it's purpose is to bring a conclusion and prospects of investigation and finding concrete evidence
@@musti2140 The government would rather send money to other countries than help South Africa
What does one expect when the muppets are in charge ???
Unfortunately this is Typical of Black Governments, they destroy just about every SOE entity IE Denzel Eskom, etc due to extensive Corruption in ANC
Lol Gremlins 😂
Anc
The ANC South Africa is an ongoing comedy 😂😂😂
This is unbelievable, South Africa is performing miracles, how can two train run at the same time on opposite direction in the same rail way....do we still have a control systems or loadsheding killed it?
sabotage
railway cables aren't affected by Loadshedding
Economic sabotage proudly brought to you by ANC
Welcome to affirmative actions appointees , thank G-D they not directing planes , ooh wait ,
Apparently caused by loadshedding ? Dear, oh dear ...
loadshedding doesn't affect railway cables
Good god, a manual control system is too difficult. Well then, lets try digital. Yeah right, all abord.......
It's South Africa: so why show a British class 92 loco and train? This shows a lack of professionalism so typical of the Press in SA.
Keep the coal in SA
The one was standing still..omsoul...
...incompetency is generic
