Thanks for the video. You are right on the mark. My 2016 optima was made in Korea & the low beam was the h7, high beam is 9005. This made in = info is stated on the sticker inside the drivers door.

Good video! I’d suggest removing the coolant tank and you’ll have this done in 2-3 mins tops!

So, it was just a quick glance, but my headlights appear to be hard wired in somehow. Idk how to explain it but my bulbs have 2 wires coming directly off of them rather than going into a plugin like the ones depicted in this video.
UPDATE: I figured it out. My car has the h7 bulbs instead of the hb3. The lowbeams are h7 anyway. Didn't check high beams.

good luck doing it this way if you have larger hands. Moving the coolant bottle would be much easier.

It’s easier to move that coolant tank wit a 10 millimeter and move it to the side for more room to work

WHY didn't you show how to dismantle the bulb from the black housing???? You took it out @ #2:30 , but didn't show you replacing the bulb, or how to exchange the new bulb 😳🤷🏾‍♀️ ..... Getting the cap cover off, or locating the bulb really isn't the issue, REPLACING THE ACTUAL BULB IS....LOL.

@@its_10kay41 YES.... My apologies. The associate sold me the wrong replacement. Out of frustration, I took the whole part out, and another Clerk noticed the mishap 😁🙊.... SOOOO probably try taking the whole thing out, as the manufacturer makes it difficult to separate.

@@its_10kay41 It's ALL good. Same thing happened to me 😂 WE can't take for granted that the Associate's are auto mechanic's , and or experts. Probably a good thing as a rule of thumb to take entire part in, of whatever needs to be replaced so it can be EXACTLY replicated 🙊👀🧐🤷🏾‍♀️😁👌🏿😉

I would not buy a car that was designed to be awkward. Tried to replace the bulb on a UK Kia tonight, and I had to give up! I need a load of daylight to see how I might get that bulb out. Should be made easy. I have a two inch gap to get my fingers in, but I cannot even see!
As for rear lights, I kid you not: you have to remove he entire panel, with, I kid you not, a socket spanner! (Maybe it was hidden away somewhere). This is to encourage you into garages and dealerships.
