@@shotslife I've got a 22' with Mercruiser that I'm just getting too damned old to work on. Kids are just about to move out. Time to simplify. I've picked many nests out of B&S engines and they fire off like they were parked yesterday.
Great video, used it as a guide after buying one of these same outboards recently off Marketplace. Did the usual maintenance, oil change, new NGK spark plug upgrade, replaced the hoses and cleaned the carb, runs like a champ, and uses minimal fuel on my 12 foot Sun Dolphin Pro 120. Great job !, Was surprised at the amount of water that came out of that engine without it locking it up. Impressive
The green lines attached to the carb, are those just vent tubes? I didn’t see you hook them to anything in the video. I just got one of these free and that is missing just wanted to see if I need them
I have never seen an outboard with an air filter. Don't see much dust out on the water so they generally don't design them with an air filter. But then even though I have been around the water for many decades I have never seen a Briggs outboard either. At least not of recent vintage, I have seen one or two from the thirties I do believe. Those were in collections.
Any idea how to adjust the lower unit linkage ? Mine won’t shift out of foward unless I drop the lower it’s like the rod is two long for neutral and reverse??
Dude... When pressure washing be mindful off what's on the other side... Looks like you soaked your tool table. 😂 Tip for viewers : A L-O-T of boat motors that won't start have simply jumped timing. Simple fix, pull off the fly wheel and realign it with a new shear pin. Really liking your videos! Keep em coming! 2:40 impeller shoots water out of the exhaust. Oh wait.. That's one of those... I call them MOWER MOTORS. Air cooled with a boat lower unit Mongomery wards used to sell those. I had a 7Hp one.
Just found one of these on marketplace. Love Briggs and Stratton. Have decades of experience with them.
They are neat little motors!

Yeah it was an interesting little motor.. really cheap made for a little fishing boat for small water.

I don’t, I have asked Jeff to respond… hopefully when he gets a second he will answer

5:38, the right tool for the right job. Go figure.
Lol
Nice video Jeff!
Thanks for watching Levi!!
they don't have an air filter. just a screen mesh.
Cool
@@shotslife I tried to make one from filter foam, but the top would not latch down with it and the screen.
FYI tell us what power washer you are using and your opinion on it.
Someone might see it and sponsor you.
Can’t hurt.
Good job Shot! Waiting for the next video))
Thank you, Jeff did a great job!
Wow Lucky Man

Thanks James!!
Add oil
...GOOD ONE ,KEEP SAFE..
Thanks for watching!
How’s the water pump. Don’t forget about that
Air cooled motor...thanks for watching!!
Shots Life oh that’s cool then. I didn’t know that they made air cooled guess if it’s a smaller engine it wouldn’t need water to cool it.
Yeah we thought it was crazy as well, we had never seen that before...
That was some nasty stuff the motor puked out on your driveway.....
Funny you mention that, Jeff had a hard time washing it off! Thanks for watching!!
