Hi Kelly, I found you about 2 weeks ago and have been binge watching all of your videos! You're a great UA-camr! You're so knowledgeable about k-beauty skincare, and I'm thrilled about that bc that's all I use, and it's hard to find a UA-camr that is like you. Most of them talk about Western brands of skincare and do unboxings, and that's it. I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work that you put into all of your videos! So happy to have found you!
I've been absolutely loving the numbuzin no.5+ serum and I'm definitely gonna try out their toner too!!!!!💖💖 I don't think I've ever seen a vitamin toner?!
I started using K-beauty skincare less than a year ago. It has been a lovely journey with every product only making my skin one step better. But the hero product that addressed the issues that I had was numbuzin no5+vitamin concentrate serum. I just love it. I had not heard of the toner. Thinking of adding it, thank you. I was never one for toner pads.
Thanks! I'm using both the Some by Mi eye serum and the Numbuzin no.5 Vitamin Serum. Their toner sounds so great, but I have really been wanting to get the Indie Lee CoQ10 toner for the longest time, even though it's a little pricey...
I had a pretty good result with Naturium tranexamic serum with kojic acid. Propolis was actually nice too for brightening. Looking forward to opening my numbuzin no. 5 +soon😊
I will be patiently waiting! Like I said prior, I have only been using the toner for a couple of weeks, so a little too soon to see dramatic results. Absolutely love the ingredient list on this toner. I have been using the serum & toner pads for a few months now, and love them. I have also been using the mask as well, weekly for a few months and its def one of my favorite sheet masks! Looking forward to your experience with each! Big fan of your content girlie..good work!❤️
I am using Naturium Vitamin C that contains glutathione. It’s a good one serum, I have dry and sensitive skin and my skin loves this serum since day one, and I love it too ❤
The Numuzin 5 serum is a favourite, I have bought it a few times. I hope the toner stocks in Yesstyle and Stylevana as well, I saw a lot of Japanese youtubers talk about it so I really want to try it.
Great topic. I'm going to have to give the Numbuzin #5 toner a try. I first became a fan of glutathione when I tried the Allies of Skin VC 20% serum. Loved the results--the price not so much. So glad to see some affordable alternatives.
Kelly, BODY CARE next? I don't see much, let alone affordable. You'll find the occasional Vit C lotion of unknown efficacy, Exfoliating lotion, Retinol LOTION.. I can only wear so many lotions! Plus SPF! GIVE ME A TONER & SERUM OR MULTITASKER! Lol 😂 I ❤ the Topicals Slather for Body: Hydration+ Mild Moisture & Retinol PLUS an Exfoliant to drive everything deep?!😍 (I ❤ Urea). Low % Retinol is fine if you can drive it deep with AHA and *wet* skin.. right? 😂 Feels gorgeous. Just too expensive for more than once a week. Not for sensitive skin. I ❤ the Village11Factory AHA 12% Lotion.. feels AMAZING. 🥰 But oh boy do I need a Large affordable Essence. Post shower, my body is dry & DEHYDRATED before I can put lotion over a third of it. 🥵 Essence & toners are so much faster and WHAT A RELIEF! Even FACIAL SKINCARE products on the BODY! I would 💕LOVE💕 a list of large volume Essences/Toners, Serums, Lotions & multitasking products.. That are SO AFFORDABLE, we can buy them for the BODY. Example: The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner. $8 & large volume! I'm interested in APLB Glutathione Niacinamide BODY Lotion; its affordable and large Volume. You know.. itd just everything is via a lotion. This one looks thin viscosity so maybe I can layer, but I tell ya! I can't keep up with putting body lotion on both AM&PM! 😅 That said, an actual multi targeted routine would make me feel like a QUEEN! 🤩 Gotta compensate: Body Retinols are low percentage or undisclosed. The few brands that up their game know the bar is low already, it won't take much to impress, & they can charge a pretty penny. Necessaire, Glytone for examples. Affordable are Gold Bond Retinol with Urea & amazing ingredients but no percentage disclosed. Versed and Necessaire are both 0.1%- Why lower percentage than body? La Roche Posay is great.. but Im 35 with dry, dehydrated skin that has been aging quickly because I cant give it the care it needs. Btw, Eucerin Skin Calming Body Wash doesn't get enough HYPE! Oil cleanser for wet skin with Omegas, helps gently desquamate dead skin without stripping. Affordable, literally changed my life & itchy skin. ❤
hello kelly it's always nice to see your video, i learned a lot from your presentation in a more easy step by step way , where not everyone understand the ingredent list or names , and what it does and don't in skincare world , if i have to be professional , i were say your mostly will be like ( skincare guidance counsler )
Terrific video, I've always appreciated the in depth research you do on the various ingredients. I listen to a number of "lotions and potions " channels and no one else comes even close to doing this as well as you, so thank you. When it comes to the Numbuzin serum and the toner, it would have been so helpful if you'd made it a point to thoroughly differentiate them. I've listened to those two segments twice now, and I don't know/ can't tell much of a difference. What are the important things that are missing from one, but not the other? What are the important ingredients, in one but not the other? How can we tell which is more suited to the problems we have and the results we're looking for? Thank you.
I'm so glad you enjoy my channel! I have a video coming out that is dedicated to the No.5+ line from Numbuzin where I will break down exactly what you're asking. Since this video is more about Glutathione than deep diving Numbuzin, I wasn't able to fully explore the nuance of each product, stay tuned for more!
@@danicaminic2200 I still don’t think it will help with sun spots, nothing ever helped except hydroquinone! But I’m hoping to improve brightness in general
I've been using Paula's Choice 25% Vitamin C serum with glutathione for about a month twice a day. It's a nice serum and doesn't irritate my skin like ascorbic acid does. I've been using tranexamic acid for a few years in my tretinoin formula and I've not found it lightens my sun damaged hyperpigmentation nor my melasma. I've also tried it in popular cosmetic skin lightening products and received no lightening. I hear it might work better on post acne dark marks.
Thanks Kelly. I'm in Africa Sierra Leone. I just found u on UA-cam and I love your channel very much. I love k beauty products although it's hard to get them here. Thanks for the good ideas u are sharing. All the best ❤️
Learned a lot from this video, Kelly. Thank you for the science lesson behind the formulas. A couple piqued my interest. I hate waiting for them to arrive from overseas, but I am so glad we can have access to these products jam packed with skincare ingredients. (edited) I tried to order two items from Olive Young, totaling about $30. Alas, they wanted to charge me $25 shipping. 😢 Their minimum is $50 for free shipping to the USA.
LOVED this video!!!! I was very tempted to add the numbuzin 5 serum into my routine even though I don’t struggle with hyperpigmentation- but for overall Brightening… but was struggling with what to remove in its place. THEN YOU MENTION THE TONER 👀 and I have been looking for a new toner/essence! I usually use the isntree green tea fresh toner + Neogen essence in the AM with my vitamin C… but I think I will move the Neogen to nighttime with my tretinoin and pair this toner with my Vitamin C + the isntree to boost the antioxidant in my AM! 🎉 Do you think I can layer the green tea toner with this one as it’s viscous? You just solved such a headache for me! So happy that I am a new follower. You are INCREDIBLE 💗
Great video as usual! The n.5+ line really attracts me, I think the toner would suit my oily, acne prone skin better than the serum (seems too moisturizing for the morning routine and night is for exfoliation and retinal). But then again haruharu wonder 4% txn dark spot serum seems a good match, so hard to decide 😅
I was sooo excided about the formula of Numbuzin 5 serum and then i saw a review by Ulrike (video on brightening serums) and she said that surprisingly it dindt brighten at all, and other vitamin c derivative serums did. And it is just annoying - why something that should work based on formulation doesnt and other serums tht dont have that much good stuff in does?? Since i would like to use this serum cuz it has science backed percentages of ingredients.. How were your results Kelly with this serum? Or will you report them later?:)
Results will depend on what they're working to brighten, the length of testing and other factors (including the use of reliable sunscreen/protection). So it's really impossible to say why someone wouldn't see results. It's also massively important to understand that not all skincare works for all people, not all experiences (while still 100% valid) will mirror our own experiences. The line definitely works to brighten dull skin, PIH, and dark spots. My experience hasn't shown effects for some sun damage but I also haven't used it long enough to confidently report on that.
I still wanna try this but from what I understand it's the niacinamide and tranexamic acid that's doing all the work. The percentage of vitamin c and alpha-arbutin is really low. Regardless of that I still think it has a really great ingredients list. I got it in my cart ready to go lol
I use 3 bottle of Numbuzin serum already. And I see the result. It help fade my acne scar, and keep the skin tone bright. I pair it with a brightening toner Hada Labo as well. Cream just simple barrier support. You should protect your skin with sunscreen.
Hi. It is worth trying. Give yourself a month and take pictures. In my case, it is certainly fading sunspots and PIH which did not respond to any other topical application. There are some people who tried it along with the No5 toner pads and reported even better results, but I was wary of adding too much niacinamide. Good luck !
My order is on the way! Toner, serum, body lotion and masks! So I have high expectations 😅 one thing I’ve noticed in the reviews is that packaging is pretty cheap, serum bottle doesn’t have stopper. But the price is very affordable and the ingredients list looks promising
Have you seen that Numbuzin 5+ serum now has water as the first ingredient? The last couple boxes i've received from the big Korean retailers shows it on the box for ingredients. I have 2 coming from Olive Young so i'll see if it also says it. The vitamin C is now under Sorbitol (it’s now even more different on the Numbuzin website!). What are your thoughts on that? I just add my Dr Althea vitamin C afterwards to give an extra boost. Still loooooove the product. It's my fav but wish it was still Vit C forward.
Korean labeling laws have shifted in the past year, it's possible they needed to comply with new regulations, which would impact ingredient order on the label.
So if the concern is blemish and acne scars for combo dehydrated sensitive skin for acne and acne scars, is it better to choose no 5+ Numbuzin serum or Haruharu TXA serum or Skin1004 brightening ampoule?
Excellent video. I have the numbuzin 5 serum. What are you thoughts on Mira and Alice's positions on peptides , ie. Not enough peer reviewed studies to make any claims other than hydrators ?
I'm more of a believer in personal results, myself and many other people have had a lot of success with peptides so while the studies can be taken with a grain of salt we will never know unless we try them ourselves. It's also important to understand that the cosmetic use of certain ingredients is lacking in funding for independent (non-manufacturer sponsored) studies. We actually don't know a lot about so many ingredients outside of tretinoin/retinol, vitamin C, niacinamide, AHA and BHA.
@@KellyDriscoll I think what we want to know if peptides are carrier, signaling what are they doing at the cellular level. I believe the only truth we have on copper is it's ability in the wound healing cascade. Ie use after medical micro needling.
Numbuzin no 5 toner - does it have a scent? I bought their no 3 toner and it was money down the drain - instant disappointment when opened the bottle. Such a heavy perfume scent. :( Very interested to find out if no 5 is fragrance free??
Hi can u please recommend me any gentle product to incorporate to fade pih by acne, if I'm following anti acne regimen and using adaplene and azelaic acid 20% very few days a week and about to end my accutane course
I've been trying to figure this out for a long time. Can you be allergic to Bifida? My skin reacted to Numbuzin no 3 serum before. Recently, I was trying Isntree Bifida and this too is kind of irritating my skin. Kelly pls advice! 😢
Hi Kelly, the Numbuzin No.5 that i find in K beauty sites in the EU is called "Goodbye Blemish Serum" and i read the ingredients and cant find TA nor Glutathion... Is that the same serum you talked about?
You should use sunscreen when using this those ingredients (and all skincare), these ingredients don't cause sensitivity in the way AHA or retinoids do but it's important to keep your skin protected.
I can see Kelly's answer but i wanted to tell you that my skin is photosensitive and ascorbic acid is a big NO . I can use not strong retinol and AHA but not pure vitamin C even with the very very strong and amazing sunscreen i always have on .....
It really depends on your skin, the additional brightening ingredients might be helpful or it might just be overkill, you can always separate your products into AM and PM routines to keep the benefits without overloading your skin in 1 routine.
I haven't noticed any offensive smell (sometimes vitamin C smells like hot dogs, these don't). They aren't scented though so maybe people are put off by the raw ingredient smell? But I don't notice any smell when applying the Toner or Serum from Numbuzin.
The Mary&May eye cream. I ordered one and got one in their blackberry&idabenone serum (which I love) duo pack. So I have now 2 of those tubes... unfortunately... I really do not like the scent. Why would I want to put that strongly scented product so near my eyeballs? :(( I do not know if it is the scent or the cream itself, but my eyes start to sting after a while and water. And I have 2 tubes :(( I very much like their serums - have tried several and the idabenone&blackberry serum is wonderful - have bought it several times. But their lotion, eye cream, sheet masks (30pack) - they are all strongly scented. I have a hate and love relationship with this brand.
I have to take glutathione for my mold detox protocol. The one thing my doctors agree on is that make sure your glutathione is the liposomal kind! Otherwise it doesn't do much apparently.
Really love ur contents, Soo much helpful for deciding for where we should put our hard working money. ❤ I would love to see a comparison between numbuzin 5 vitamin serum vs Anua dark spots serum (10% niacinamide, 4% TxA, 2% Arbutin) 🥺🫶🏻

The brand APLB has put out a number of products featuring this ingredient. Has anyone tried those? Thoughts?
Glutathione has been used in Asian beauty products for more than a decade ago🙂
Can the Tranexamic Acid + Glutathione Eye Cream be applied during daytime?
Yes!
So if the concern is blemish and acne scars for combo dehydrated sensitive skin for acne and acne scars, is it better to choose no 5+ Numbuzin serum or Haruharu TXA serum or Skin1004 brightening ampoule?
So helpful! Thank you!
Great Video Kelly
Can i use numbuzin no5 serum and some other vitamin. C at once?
The Numbuzin #5 TONER is incredible it’s so moisturizing with about the same ingredients!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 love it … I got both lol
Not Kelly, but I have heard from other skincare influencers that people can be allergic to fermented ingredients.
Been using the aplb glutathione toner, love it😢😢
Thanks!
Thank you so much, I appreciate all your support, Ilya! ❤
Hi Kelly, the Numbuzin No.5 that i find in K beauty sites in the EU is called "Goodbye Blemish Serum" and i read the ingredients and cant find TA nor Glutathion... Is that the same serum you talked about?
You'll need to look for the no5+ line. I have links in the comments here and the description box for the products to help!
@@KellyDriscoll yes, thank you! I've found it! Have a great day 😁💕
Hi kelly ❤
l ascorbic acid, alpha arbutin and copper peptide does any one of these 3 ingredients increase Photosensitivity . ❤
Omg THANK YOU so much! Did you read my mind?! ..Or possibly my comment? 😂
Can you review the centellian24 gluthatione toning ampule? 🙏
If we use a separate vitamin c in our morning routine do you think we can still use the numbuzin 5 toner in the same routine?
It really depends on your skin, the additional brightening ingredients might be helpful or it might just be overkill, you can always separate your products into AM and
PM routines to keep the benefits without overloading your skin in 1 routine.
Not sure we absorb glutathione thru the skin. Just like collagen is too big a molecule to absorb thru skin?
Does the numbuzin 5+ smell? I saw a lot comments complaining about it
I haven't noticed any offensive smell (sometimes vitamin C smells like hot dogs, these don't). They aren't scented though so maybe people are put off by the raw ingredient smell? But I don't notice any smell when applying the Toner or Serum from Numbuzin.
No smell at all.
I have a hate and love relationship with this brand.
is anyone taking Glutathione suppliments ? what are the benefits and side effects ?
I have to take glutathione for my mold detox protocol. The one thing my doctors agree on is that make sure your glutathione is the liposomal kind! Otherwise it doesn't do much apparently.

Really love ur contents, Soo much helpful for deciding for where we should put our hard working money. ❤
I would love to see a comparison between numbuzin 5 vitamin serum vs Anua dark spots serum (10% niacinamide, 4% TxA, 2% Arbutin) 🥺🫶🏻
