I have watched many youtubers fish Apollo Beach and you are the first one to actually give directions where to go once you get there. Very cool bro ,thank you ! That has been the main reason I haven't ventured out there as of yet. Great video and I subscribed . I also have seen they don't let you launch kayaks or wade there anymore and wondering is that true? Either way I look forward to giving it a shot this winter . Tight lines ! I've lived in Apollo Beach close to the power plant for 25 years and i'm concerned about the lack of fish in the residential canals this year.. I have underwater lights on my dock and normally have all kinds of fish from goliath grouper, snook, cobia, redfish, trout, shark, snapper with thousands of baitfish circling my lights but this year it looks almost dead in the canal with only a small number of pin fish. Last night i had zero baitfish around the lights which is a 1st in 25 years. Something has drastically changed because i'm not even seeing the massive schools of mullet or jacks and dolphin chasing them. Normally i would see dolphin feeding behind my house every day but i have not seen one dolphin in the canal in close to a year.
Great video! You and I met last December at "The Jack Wall" when I was on the Leave from the Marines (We tripled on the Jacks, but I failed to land mine!). I'll be down that away again the next couple weeks... would be great to link up!
Tried fishing the power plant yesterday… was told by the park ranger people are no longer allowed to enter the water in the park or you’ll be ticketed… this includes putting in my Kayak. Too many people swim where they aren’t supposed and drowning in the current from the power plant. I had to pay to park in the marina and row down:

The fact that those clowns think Apollo Beach is somehow a “secret” spot. Is absolutely hilarious… That spot and area has been featured in 1000s of videos over many years. It’s probably how they found it. 😂😂😂😂

@@Between_the_numbers the grass flats on the way out next to the no wake channel hold a lot of fish. You can catch lady fish and jacks as bait. Just use a paddle tail on a light jig 🤙👍
i live in michigan and i have known about apollo for years. anyone with the internet and a little understanding of google earth and slight sleuthing abilities can find about 90% of shore fishing spots on you tube. not real hard. just have to find the clues.

Have not tried anclote. The power plant @ Gandy isnt pumping warm water out for some reason so it wasnt very good.

Yes, this is true, you can no longer launch from the beach. However, There is a nearby boat ramp which i find way easier to use 👍🤙
