Wherever you are in the world right now, I hope that you are warm and safe. We've had some extreme winter weather all across the United States and so many people are without power and other essential resources. My heart goes out to all of those who have struggled this week ❤️
Luckily, Landon and I were able to enjoy the winter weather before it got bad. It hardly ever snows in Portland and I was so so so excited seeing everything blanketed in white ❄️ So much so, that I didn't get nearly as much reading done as I'd hoped I would. That is more than okay though : )
One book, a haircut, Gilmore Girls, painted nails, comfort foods, and many laughs made for a really wonderful, healing weekend-- thank you, always, for sharing it with me.

Blacksburg snows were always the greatest!! Really missing those magical days lately
I’ve never seen your channel before today but I was getting super anxious and UA-cam recommended your Powell’s video and that and this were exactly what I needed to be calm. I am at home in the PNW but far away for now and it was nice to remember there is still a world of beautiful trees and lovely books.

It does get pretty twisty in Seasons 5 & 6. Lorelai is more complicated than she seemed to be in Season 1. I guess we fans needed some time to process how hard her life had to have been raising Rori while working as a maid in the Firefly Inn. Meanwhile, life goes on in the parts of Star's Hollow that doesn't revolve around them.
Ahh, I’m so nervous for the plot twists! It’s like when I’m reading a book and everything is exactly how I want it to be but there are still 100+ pages left...I know it’s all going to get turned upside down

Happy Friday! I’m glad you got to go out and enjoy the snow. It’s super snowy and cold where I live, so I feel like I’ve lost some of that joyous snow appreciation. But now I’m reminded that snow really is a magical thing! Also, that ramen looks so yummy and perfect for the snowy weather! Thanks for this wonderful start to my morning :)

Hi Mo’ I hope you guys are safe from any other future ice storms! I can’t tell you how great it is that you upload on weekends so I watched this whole video while eating my oatmeal pancakes for breakfast. Also same! I take so much comfort in my morning routine but whenever I get stressed I always end up sacrificing its structure :(

Ahhhhhh loved this whole thing. The slow-mo hair dryer made me laugh out loud. I have LOTS to say about Gilmore girls - I had the exact same reaction to the first episode of season 5 that you did 😅😅 but I won’t spoil the rest of the series for you. Haha. Oh man, I had to read ahead about Gilmore Girls because I was just getting too emotionally invested and both Rory and Lorelai are not exactly dependable characters to become invested in (unpopular opinion-- they both really bother me! They really don't treat others very well).

There is an adage where they say, "Live Life to its Fullest". We can't predict when our time is up, so continue enjoying life. Time is our most precious commodity. You are doing the right thing, which is enjoying yourself with your family (boyfriend and Mr.Roo) and beautiful home. It has been snowing here in NYC , as well. However, where you live, the snow is prettier (no slush), and more fun to play with the snow with your family. Mr. Roo could be out there for hours. They don't feel it, like we do. So, your boyfriend cut your hair. He has "mad skills". The haircut came out well. I simply shave my head, just to save money and not worry about hair...lol. I read the Lovers Dictionary in my teens when I was on a big John Green and friends kick haha. I was also fascinated that he was able to use a unique method to tell such a compelling story. I have Dash and Lily to read on my kindle after watching the series on Netflix over Christmas and loved it so got a copy of the book, so am going to have to get of this one now too. The hair cut part was hilarious lol I have been cutting my own hair and my husband uses his clippers to cut it all the same length. He recently let me try to give him a fade and it worked out ok! I want to master the bald fade that he wants.
