This is so great, thank you. By the way, there is an apu gauge behind the FO’s seat (below the circuit breaker panel) if you want to see the startup progress of the APU. Sometimes it’s helpful knowing where you stand in the process! Keep up the amazing work.
Thanks!! one of the first tutorials i see, that , even if you dont use a switch, or some dont work until a few minutes, you will explain! im fed up of other tutorials ,that they consider things for known
From a UX perspective, the lines on the fuel panel seem to be a good idea, as you can "see" what "they do", but in practice this requires the person looking at it to think what the result of the position is, even if that only takes a fraction of a second. The A320 and onwards cleaned this up with taking the "no lights = default = good" principle to the max. But boy, I admit, it looks sooo good :) Call me a romantic, but this is such a charming cockpit. A lot of bells and whistles that we got rid of later, but all so cleanly laid out. Almost like a Chanel suit.
thanks for this Emi! I am currently starting to learn my first Airbus now that we wait on PMDG for further Boeing productions. It is a different beast all together, but I am glad I am beginning on the older airbus model versus the newer fenix a320, i will move onto the newer airbus' once I master the older. This is a really good product considering it was free with MSFS. And as always thank you for your great tutorials!
As always….really enjoy your videos. The A310 is my current “study” aircraft, meaning Im the one doing the studying in how to operate it as best as possible. Just finished with the ATR this past week. Really wanting to spend some time with the A310 before the TFDi MD-11 is hopefully released next month.
@@A330Driver … yes, for sure. Ive been keeping tabs on it. Kind of anticipate it to be released by this weekend. Guess we will see. Looking forward to a nice freighter version.
Good work my friend ! I love it when you’ve divided into smaller chunks, easy to learn and review bit you need (I need all of them) Hope A310 meets my expectations :)
Love the ‘present’ weather radar reference from the previous crew 😂 Is this something that they actually do for fun?! Great video, as always, thank you
Great tutorial, by the way i was wondering if there is any indication about the outside temperature somewhere in the cockpit so i be able to know when to switch on the anti ice engine
hello I have a problem with a310 -300 I enter my flight plan point by point at the beginning he follows the flight plan and a little further he stops following the flight plan the nav is ok the profile is ok I don't don't understand why he drops the flight plan
So the transponder is the section directly behind the throttles.Ive done a few flights before seeing this and am slowly getting used to it.Problem I've had everytime after take off is I get a message your transponder is not working or something similar, change to sqwark and what ever number I'm given.I haven't been able to figure that out abd have a silent flight after that.Have you encountered anything like that to change sqwark code. Appreciate your videos emensly.Cheers.
@@A330Driver Cheers mate.I don't use vatsim at this time.Maybe eventually.I rarely use simbrief at this time.More prefer to wing it with doing flightplans off little navmap, lol.Ive been doing flightsim since fs 2000 but I only started learning about and using SID'S and Star's 3 to 4 months ago.Lol I can be a bit slow on the uptake to understand some things.Between you and Jonathan Beckett on UA-cam,you've both helped me a lot.I try and find a work one day.lol.Cheers.
I had my first flight. Oof what a big girl! The energy management is no joke 😄. Question. Are the reverse thrust sounds accurate in the A310? The sound is so distinctive in the 737 that I thought it would sound similar. I barely heard anything in the A310. 🤔 Dissapointing
I've never flown an A310 so I can't really comment on how accurate those sounds are, but you generally sit further forward in the 310 and the flightdeck sounds seem quite loud as well so it could be realistic.
I don't like the term "study level" but it is definitely more complete than the Aerosoft Airbusses in P3D, even though not as complete as the PMDG or Fenix. But definitely quite advanced.
I’m not playing a game… I’m training for when the pilots pass out on a long flight.
The best ever Flight Deck preparation Tutorial, Congratulations Captain

@@A330Driver I hope we can get a 1st gen 737 that has a panel like this. I absolutely love the mechanical instrumentation in the big jets.

Flying on VATSIM it always worked fine. Not sure if that's any different with default ATC.

you just make an account on a phone or a computer, it doesn't change anything. Just input your username

@@A330Driver yeah I noticed how loud it was in the cabin. I didn't realize how insulated the 737 cabin is in comparison
Or looks like aerosoft airbuses?
Certainly more advanced than those!
i hear dogs in the background?
ah! we have special cargo guests today? ;-)
Hahaha, in the good old days dogs could still be carried in the cabin!
Everything was going fine until the pitch trim switches 😭 They keep shutting off! Lol
Your IRS needs to be aligned before you can turn them on.

Because it's included in the default sim? 😂
