Going the same way as him didn’t work for me but once I got all the holes in the same way I changed one number on each until it worked. Turns out for me I needed to turn in the other direction. (He went clockwise but for me, it was anticlockwise). Hope it helps!

Holy smokes - It works!!! the airline changed the code somehow - and when I got the bag only one chain was attached to the lock and the other was not. But using this method, I was able to get the code. thank you so much!!!
