It’s so good to see the platform evolving and become better with time! 1/2 MOA self-loading bullpup in .308 Win or 6.5 CM is basically childhood dream coming true. Only wish there was still a forward ejecting option.
DEAN NICK, Friendly suggestion, use 2 large C clamps to secure a flat piece of wood across ur bench to LOAD ur bipod…. And use a squeeze bag for elevation.
Looks like I’m going to have to start saving my lunch money so I can get one. I’ve always wanted a DT rifle. Being left handed these appeal to me very much.
the best thing I like about the WLVRN, is the conversion capability. with just a few extra pounds to your 5.56 loadout, you can carry the 308 conversion kit, and a couple mags in your pack. outside of all of its awesome features, its just a sweet platform. that hopefully one day I will be able to afford, because lets face the truth. "No one" is ever going to "gift or give me one" and I sure as hell will not win one in a giveaway.
Nice work❤. Please Nick, drive to Garand Thumb with your WLVRN Variants(Micron .223, 16inc .308, 20inc 6,5cm) and make a video with these guys. I love the MDRX, and they will love the WLVRN and than tausends more will have these awesome gun platform❤
@@DesertTechUT please do, he tends to be harsh on bullpups (historically rightfully-ish so). But recently seems to be warming up to them but not quite convinced yet.
Garand Thumb is very biased towards official Military adopted firearms even if the rifle is a total turd. I got a laugh watching his review on the Helliion, he pretty much said he hated every single thing on the entire rifle but in the end said "This is a really good Military Weapon". LOL I do not like the Hellion and I agreed with his assessments on the rifle but was disappointed to see just because it was adopted by the country that created it that all of a sudden it made it a good rifle.
@@DesertTechUT haha yeah "this sucks but it good enough for the military" At least he didn't recommend it as a first gun. Speaking of which making a WLVRN my first gun in a month or so hopefully
Excellent job. You previously mentioned the possibility of an accurized model. Any changes to the 6.5creedmoor other than the bipod hand guard and suppressor?
What further refinements can we expect to see from the WLVRN? Do you foresee any major iterations such as with the MDR and MDRX? I know there have been some complaints and issues, but I mostly write that off as initial production runs not being honed in properly, but if the issues persist, will we see a massive overhaul? I’m very interested in purchasing a .308 version, but I don’t want to be a guinea pig or beta tester.
We don’t foresee changes on the WLVRN. Everything is working great overall and we are very pleased with the design improvements and their performance. There will be more conversion kits offered over the years though and we will make the sabertooth handguards an optional accessory for the WLVRN rifles.

Yes it is! Although it did take a lot of effort to setup the system to achieve it.

Pretty impressive! Better MOA than my PSA AR10

Thank you for reporting accuracy in this way. Far too often it is reported with a few 3 shot groups which is just not statistically significant.
@@Dan-b2j agreed!
Will the .277 sig with the 80k psi case work in the Wolverine - if a gunsmith makes the barrel will the bolt take the pressure?
I will have to check with engineering on that one
The 80k psi is the military cartridge, and it’s 12 bucks a round. The ball ammo is basically the same ballistics as .308 but in a .277 caliber
I would look to see a deep dive on the sabertooth. I might not be able to own one, but I would love to see the nerdy specs.

We will do that. I want to be able to show him the Sabertooth handguards too which will be ready end of summer.
@@DesertTechUT , the Sabertooth is the spicy brother.
I look forward to this happening

Will there be an accurized version of the Wlvrn using a turned down SRS barrel and SRS monopod option?
has desert tech ever considered coming out with gas impingement WLVRN? or 6.8 spc?
You built a WLVRN in 6.5 CM? I would love to see a Bullpup naval cannon! I don't think it would be possible for a 2inch shell to make 1/2MOA groups
Ah, the things I've seen at first glance... Thankfully humanity was saved when the second look disproved my imagination almost every time.
Yup 6.5 Creedmoore we built.
Excellent job. You previously mentioned the possibility of an accurized model. Any changes to the 6.5creedmoor other than the bipod hand guard and suppressor?
Nope. This was stock 6.5cm with bipod and silencer shooting Berger ammo.
Have you tried 6.5 Swedish ammo . Big cheers from Stockholm Sweden 🇸🇪 @@DesertTechUT

Echo Echo Echo put some foam on ur walls and ceiling will help lots
I see a rear monopod on that WLVRN. Is this an upgrade or version we can get?
It’s a one off that I am playing around with.
What barrel lengths did you shoot for each caliber?
223 REM = 11.5”, 16”, 20”. 308 = 16”, 20”. 6.5=20”
Can we get instructions on how to improve MDRX accuracy?
Yes I will make a video about this too.
@@DesertTechUT I’m glad DT figured out how to make an accurate bullpup. Love the operation, all that was missing for me was accuracy.

10 years beyond the date of discontinuation of the entire line. Do you own an MDR or MDRX?
