Basically, Madara was betrayed both by the Hidden Leaf Village as well as his own clan. His own clan didn’t trust him because he made an alliance with their arch rival clan, the Senju. Meanwhile, the Senju chose Hashirama to become Hokage, and Madara saw that the Uchiha clan are slowly losing their foothold on the village, and will eventually become victims of persecution by the Senju clan... and at worse, civil war can erupt at anytime, and they’re back to endless wars and suffering. Madara is left with a dilemma similar to Itachi: if he chose to side with his clan, fighting continues. If he chose Hashirama, he would have betrayed his own clan and fighting continues. Since both options ultimately leads to war, he chose the “Eye of the Moon Plan” aka Tsukiyomi, the third option where everyone lives in peace while in eternal sleep 🤦♂️
Eye of the moon/ Project Tsuki No Me is INFINITE Tsukuyomi, an ability where everyone in the world will be trapped in a genjutsu. Tsukuyomi is an ability only used by Itachi. Yes. Before he naturally passed away, he found a successor to carry out his plan for him (Obito). Obito gave Madara's Rinnegan to Pain, who was supposed to use that eye to revive Madara. Ok so, Madara was actually revived later on by orochimaru (snake guy) and kabuto. After they revived him and gave him the rinnegan he got even more powerful leading him to do a full resurrection to where he wasn’t half dead and fully alive. After he was fully revived there’s a flash back to when they were fighting and it shows madara bighting off a piece of Hashirama to gain his amazing healing ability, which he used to stay alive for a long time after almost dying during the fight
Madara used the izanagi and used a shadow clone to take his place inside a coffin because he knew Tobirama wanted to study how the sharingan truly worked amongst the Uchiha clan if he was ever killed in battle. Btw idk if you know that Itachi ( sasuke's brother ) killed the entire clan later on but he basically did that because the uchiha's realized ( after decades ) that they were indeed treated as outcasts and decided to finally start a revolt but itachi , in order to avoid a war , killed all of them because he wanted the village to stay safe and in peace.

The clans didn't like each other so they fought all of the time, but as you see, Hashirama and Madara got to know each other and became friends. After a bunch of fighting they agreed to a truce, and formed the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Madara and Hashirama both thought Madara should be the first Hokage(leader of the village), but due to politics and shit, Hashirama got made the first Hokage instead. Madara didn't like how it happened, and knew it would eventually turn out bad for the Uchiha, but people didn't listen so he left the village to get the power necessary to fix things by force. This is why he and Hashirama ended up fighting again, and Hashirama, brought him to the brink of death(so close he actually believed he was dead). In actuality, Madara went into hiding for a long ass time, until he eventually did die, but he raised a protege to enact a master plan that eventually brought him back to life. Throughout the course of Naruto, we learn that Madara's predictions for the Leaf Village all came true, but you could argue that much of it was in response to actions taken by his protege. He was right that Hashirama's younger brother(Tobirama) would become the second Hokage. And he was right that Tobirama would subjugate and discriminate against the Uchiha in the village. However discrimination against the Uchiha intensified when Madara's protege used sharingan to force the 9 tailed fox to attack, because only the Uchiha(and Kakashi) have Sharingan. He also would have been right about the village being plunged into great darkness, had it not been for Itachi. What we later find out is that the Uchiha were plotting a coup that would have devastated the village, and potentially the whole country. This is why Itachi(with help) killed all of the Uchiha, to save the Leaf Village, and the entire Land of Fire from the kind of chaos and instability seen in the other countries that were devastated through previous wars.

That technique is called the izanagi. A genjutsu on the user itself to change reality .Done in order to get a different outcome of user's choice.

Ok so, Madara was actually revived later on by orochimaru (snake guy) and kabuto. After they revived him and gave him the rinnegan he got even more powerful leading him to do a full resurrection to where he wasn’t half dead and fully alive. After he was fully revived there’s a flash back to when they were fighting and it shows madara bighting off a piece of Hashirama to gain his amazing healing ability, which he used to stay alive for a long time after almost dying during the fight

Madara used the izanagi and used a shadow clone to take his place inside a coffin because he knew Tobirama wanted to study how the sharingan truly worked amongst the Uchiha clan if he was ever killed in battle. Madara managed to live to a very old age due to taking a piece of Hashirama's skin and placing it within his wounds which allowed him to awaken the rinnegan. When Madara saved Obito at Kanabi Bridge he was near his death and personally trained the young Uchiha and brainwashed him into believing in Madara's views and dreams. Before Madara died he left a plan for Obito to follow which would have allowed him to revive Madara using the rinne rebirth jutsu.

Hashirama didn't kill Madara, because Madara basically cheated death by using a Jutsu that altered reality, thus, he was "revived" sometime later, literally woke up from the dead, however, that cost him one of his eyes, because the technique that cheats death required one of his eyes to become blind for it to work. After that, Madara lived in the shadows up until a very, very, old age, probably more than 100 years old. He kept alive because he had some tubes on his back that gave him life force, and as long those weren't detached from him, he couldn't die. Madara then saved Obito after Obito's right half of his body was crushed by a boulder, and Madara used his Sharingan to manipulate some Hidden Mist Village ninja to kidnap the girl that Obito loved and sealed the Three-Tails inside her to wreck the Hidden Leaf, and the girl, whose name was Rin, decided to commit suicide by Kakashi's hand to save the village, all of which Obito witnessed, and these events caused Obito's kind heart to become corrupted, and Madara allowed himself to die and left all of his plans to Obito, while also telling him about his entire life story and teaching all of his abilities, and Obito took Madara's identity and, well, the rest of the Naruto series occured.

Yes Madara is technically dead he just got reanimated by using the forbidden jutsu you heard of in the previous video . To give you more context , Hashirama's brother tobirama did become the 2nd hokage afrer his brother died , and he kinda pushed aside the uchiha's " they became like outcasts " , Madara knew beforehand that Tobirama never liked the uchihas so when he heard that he would probably become the 2nd hokage , he knew his clan was going to be pushed aside and so he told his clan they shouldn't accept that but the uchihas liked the " peace " they were living in under Hashirama's reign and didn't want any war between them and hashirama's clan so they decided to turn against Madara and that's why he left the village . Btw idk if you know that Itachi ( sasuke's brother ) killed the entire clan later on but he basically did that because the uchiha's realized ( after decades ) that they were indeed treated as outcasts and decided to finally start a revolt but itachi , in order to avoid a war , killed all of them because he wanted the village to stay safe and in peace.

Madara was reincarnated later on in the war arc of Naruto shippuden. So yes, hashirama actually killed him here.
So Madara was part of the Uchiha clan, and Hashirama was part of the Senju clan. The clans didn't like each other so they fought all of the time, but as you see, Hashirama and Madara got to know each other and became friends. After a bunch of fighting they agreed to a truce, and formed the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Madara and Hashirama both thought Madara should be the first Hokage(leader of the village), but due to politics and shit, Hashirama got made the first Hokage instead. Madara didn't like how it happened, and knew it would eventually turn out bad for the Uchiha, but people didn't listen so he left the village to get the power necessary to fix things by force. This is why he and Hashirama ended up fighting again, and Hashirama, brought him to the brink of death(so close he actually believed he was dead). In actuality, Madara went into hiding for a long ass time, until he eventually did die, but he raised a protege to enact a master plan that eventually brought him back to life.
Throughout the course of Naruto, we learn that Madara's predictions for the Leaf Village all came true, but you could argue that much of it was in response to actions taken by his protege. He was right that Hashirama's younger brother(Tobirama) would become the second Hokage. And he was right that Tobirama would subjugate and discriminate against the Uchiha in the village. However discrimination against the Uchiha intensified when Madara's protege used sharingan to force the 9 tailed fox to attack, because only the Uchiha(and Kakashi) have Sharingan. He also would have been right about the village being plunged into great darkness, had it not been for Itachi. What we later find out is that the Uchiha were plotting a coup that would have devastated the village, and potentially the whole country. This is why Itachi(with help) killed all of the Uchiha, to save the Leaf Village, and the entire Land of Fire from the kind of chaos and instability seen in the other countries that were devastated through previous wars.
