    This is so great! I just got a copper mute and I love the stem. It's so old timey. But also it could be an intriguing substitute for a wah pedal. So funny that it's called a "wow-wow" mute, I always thought it was a wah-wah lol

    I play in a Big Band, and we call wah-wah mute basically a Harmon mute with the stem. It's very rare indeed. I've also seen "Tin mute" on sheets. My band leader made me play a harmon mute with a stem to get a metallic sound that goes out, I don't really know what I was really supposed to use.
