Thanks so much for this video. It's my Ascendant Nakshatra and governs the energy of my life path. I would like to add a couple of things knowing that this is my ascendant nakshatra. Swati is basically the Nakshatra which sounds well with "Go with the Flow" or "Go wherever God/life takes you". Because it is a nakshatra with natives that wants to wait and see what life will grant them as time goes by, as long as the native does what they need to do at any given point. That being said, I do know that my profession changed a lot. But throughout the years, I've come to realise that yes, our profession has got to do with the element of air/wind to move around. That's why I've ended up in promotions. It feels like life just took me there without me really doing anything other than the Dharma that needed me to do what I needed to do. Swati ascendants can become promoters, brand ambassadors or anything to do with contract jobs. Because we like to be free from having anyone really on top of us, because we want freedom. But we also are business oriented. Going place to place like tradeshows, autoshows, guerilla sampling, concerts, etc. It's all related to Swati. And it's also related to airline industries. So people who are flight attendants may have strong influence of Swati as well. I heard from another video that Swati can make a native promiscuous. So it can, but depending on what planets are sitting there and what houses they govern. Otherwise, we just like to be just independent and may come across as promiscuous. Another symbolism to do with Swati is a sword pointing upward. It is when the young plant shoot matures into independence. The wind depicted by swati is a calming wind. Meaning that it gets better with time. That's why Saturn is exalted in this Nakshatra in Vedic astrology. Once the young plant shoot becomes strong and sturdy like a sword, it can cut through to its aim and direction, striving to always go further up. And since it's business oriented, you can see why successful people tend to have prominent swati influence on their charts, especially later in life they become successful. It is usually that in the early part of life, they have to find balance because of the experiences in their lives that they need to find the equilibrium and balance to stay strong amidst the wind's blowing force. Then afterwards, they can be seen as utilising all the resources they've learned growing up into their career. Profiting from one trait or another to be resourceful. That's why Swati is seen to be flexible and sharp. Thus the reason why they can become good contract promoters/brand ambassadors. They can go from one brand and then the next day go with a competitor's brand because they have flexible minds. Swati is also related to the word "Sway" atleast to my realisation. Because it is a gentle nakshatra, and for anyone who wants to know... true power requires the gentlest touch. You can see what with Mahatma Gandhi's life.
Great comment! I have Saturn in Swati and I can verify that many great things come to fruition later in life. We are so independent that society's norms don't really affect us. Someone might have called me promiscuous, but to me sexuality was MY business and I never hurt anyone, and I may indeed have helped them. BTW, what is "guerilla sampling?"
For sure! But getting married later in life is great! By that time, independence is appreciated by the partner. But for the Swati native, it's a HUGE adjustment.
A better word for self-centred self betterment is "Self-improvement". Swati natives always want to improve themselves based on what the planet sitting in Swati is ruling. Let's say 11th lord is sitting in Swati Nakshatra, the native would want to self-improve themselves by their desires, their networking, etc. And also their way of attaining wealth may be through their network circles in various places.
Right on! Very independent and self-directed and yes, fierce about not being pulled off their path. I cannot sit still either! I am a business person, marketer and traveler and have had more lives than a cat! ;} Swati Moon (4th pada) in 2nd house with Venus but Venus is in Vishaka. I do Real Estate and am about to promote International Real Estate - it's a good fit for me I think! And yes, I have always done 2 things at once. (Gemini on the MC in Western Astrology.)
Thx guys. 10th n 5th lord in swati here. No career path, no children. Not unhappy, either. If the universe doesn't really expect these things from me, why should i? Anybody wanna buy a strengths finder and various other wtf do i do w/my life books? love y'all - namaste.
Career is a made-up word/thing, children are not the greatest thing. Enjoy your freedom-loving time on earth. From a 66 year old Swati female with NO regrets! Do stuff you l♡ve! ☆
Awesome information here. Thank you very much.😍 Being a Swati native myself I can agree upon the need for centering within. There is a lot of emotion and impressions within that need attention, and thus can often create a desire to flee from within, so as to not having to deal with it. It costs so much energy sometimes. Often I'm the opposite of centered or grounded.
5:08-- Thank you, Michael, for putting this point in! This rebuttal has been in my mind since I was a kid whenever the selfish/altruistic or service-to-self/service-to-others distinction comes up. I always feel somehow that the person posing this distinction is betraying their own rather unsophisticated morality. Indeed, how many times in history has someone posing as a do-gooder made one big mess? Not sure if other Swatis feel this way. :3
Thank you Ryan and Michael. Very enlightening video. Actually it's the associated Nakshatra for my Mercury in the 10th house, as I have Makar ascendant. So I have 6th and 9th owner Mercury in 10th house with Swati nakshatra. Thanks once again for the input!
What happens is Saturn is in Swati, Will an individual still be passionate about change , and will the New still be part of Dharma, as Saturn is more of a routine, disciplinary planet?
My newborn son is a Libra - Swati Nakshatra (4 pada), I see no bright future for him compared to other people born in 1st, 2nd or 3rd pada. I feel very sad for my son as he is just adaptable and flexible compared to other padas. 1st, 2nd and 3rd pada are very strong and powerful... Any recommended solution is much appreciated. He is born on 11 October 2018 at 7:30 AM IST, Bangalore
complicated, because my mars is conjuct ketu in swati in the 11th, rahu obviously in the fifth. venus in the 9th in uttara phalguni. Mars exalted in navamsa if that's relevant

I really enjoy your series on Nakshatra. Earlier your description of Purva Phalguni included a question about how to correctly say it...listen to this song which not only sings about the month of Phalgun, (Pfhalgun).....but also is a beautiful depiction of the energy of the Nakshatra... you will have to pay attention to the chorus where she sings "Pfhalgun ayo re" meaning Phalgun has arrived " ua-cam.com/video/stFZF5RNGZQ/v-deo.html

Thanks for the great summary of Swati Jeric. This is my ascendant nakshatra as well.

I think Swathi Nakshatra for Woman is unhelpful for getting married happily because men dislike independent thinker in wife.
