REPTILINKS gives you the opportunity to feed our pets what they would eat in the wild. My Beardies love REPTILINKS! Our Hognose snakes love the REPTILINKS Frog. Hoping to transition my Spotted Pythons and Corns soon.
Good video! I've been ordering ReptiLinks for my tegu since 2018, and of the many shipments I've done, all have arrived perfectly packaged and prepared.
I’ve not personally used them. But would if I had them on hand. I know of a guy who does use them occasionally to start retic hatchlings on if they aren’t taking normal prey items. He swears by them.
I got my first order of Reptilinks about a month ago. Definitely agree customer service is top notch, they're really involved. They were backed up after Snake Discovery's feature, but they kept me up to date on my order and I didn't mind waiting, since they hand-make the links. I didn't realize there was a specific method for keeping them once open, but I more or less did close to what was recommended anyway. I folded over the bag, pushed out the air, and put them in freezer bags. I just wrote in sharpie what was in them. I don't have a lot of freezer space so I couldn't do tubs. I warm my links like I do with rodents, in a plastic bag in warm water. The links seem like they're probably complete nutrition for a tegu, but I'm not sure for a savannah monitor. I got him the insect mix, but I feel like part of his diet should be pure insects so I use them as part of a rotation of foods. I'm leery of feeding him too much meat/high calorie. I feed him eggs sometimes anyway, so I didn't add eggs to my links. I feed him anything from the occasional rodent or chick to shrimp, tilapia, crawfish, small whole fish I find at the Asian grocery (I watch for thiaminaise species), quail/chicken eggs, and of course a variety of live bugs. He of course loves rodents and chicks most. I'd almost like to see them make a seafood and insect blend. Maybe that's not feasible. I love the convenience of having as much food as possible in my freezer for my reptiles, so feeding them is as easy as defrosting. I always have an assortment of rats, mice, chicks, and now reptilinks in the freezer :D Besides my Savannah, I have 3 snakes. My ball pythons said nope to the reptilinks, but my children's python loves the minis. I'm lucky I have a good reptile store not that far that has great feeder variety and quality.
Nice to hear your experience! I do not think they are made for Savannahs so I agree with not using them in that case. It is nice to have 6 months of food on standby!
Been waiting for this video ever since you first mentioned them. Definitely curious to try them out when my girl comes out of brumation. Might as well stock up in the meantime, lol. Thanks for this video John.
@@shaunoneil3068 reptilinks are pretty fresh. My girl doubled in size in 3 months eating only reptilinks.. As before fed her chicken parts, turkey, beef... Everything you need is in the links.
Question! do reptilinks stink up the microwave, or can I use it without fear of making it stinky. If so, like "I just microwaved some meat" smell or "dead rat" smell?
No fair. I order reptilinks all the time, and never got stickers... Odd my dry ice comes in a heavy duty plastic bag... As for shipping mine takes 3 days since im in Washington state.. Also note that paying the extra mixing with quail eggs does not count towards total cost in shipping. So if you spend 180 and add eggs and it goes up to 200 that does not count for free shipping. But My Tegu loves reptilinks.. Loves mega blend, but didnt care for the insect kind.. But my girl actually chews hers instead of swallowing whole.
Hey there - we've recently changed our packaging to include the recycled plastic bottle insulation you see in this video, no more plastic bags :) Also, for the time being we've moved all west coast orders to 2-day express shipping, as ground shipments have been getting delayed due to the pandemic. Stickers... when we have em in stock we send em - guess its a bit of a gamble! We will definitely get you on the next order :)
Our tegu is a picky bugger and I've been concerned about him getting a complete diet. Tried the mega-blend reptilinks and he loved them - removing a whole lot of hassle and worry for me. My only regret so far is not trying them sooner.
Hey I had a question. My tegu I got about 4 months ago used to be awake during the day. He now is sleeping during the day and waking up at night. He wakes up at 11pm and is asleep at like 4am. Is there a way to change their sleep schedule? Is it bad to try to change their sleep schedule?
Some are meat. they have a large variety of types of links. people can get the kind needed for thier pet. its just that a sausage is more pleasant to deal with than a dead rat.

they are really great
I swear by repti-links, they are so so easy and worry free.
Can milk snakes eat reptilinks? If so that’d be cool
I am starting my Tegu on reptilinks, where did you get the tongue's out shirt? It is awesome.
My gf made it! On my merch store!
How did they like them? I want to know opinions before spending the money for my tegu
@@Space_cadet111 my adult, and little one love them. Well worth the cost.

Great video! Can you feed your tegu ONLY reptilinks or do you have to feed other stuff as well?
Fresh is always best

You can if you get the Megablend + fuits&veggies kind!
Yes you can! Probably the healthiest overall option imo (comparing to what keepers typically feed them otherwise)

Yeah it does seem your tegu was still hungry after 2 links. Are you sure he's not left hungry needing more.. perhaps more vegetables

Can this be the stable diet for a blue tongue skink?

Hey, I didn't get stickers last week
they said they send them when they have them :)
How warm do they need to be to serve?
Like for a snake or a skink
room temp :)
@@ProfessorHerp even for a snake that has heat pits?

Cool i thought snakes only ate whatever they could catch
yes but most of the reptilinks are just meat.
Tegus, Skinks, Turtles, etc eat fruits and veggies along with meats/fish- super cute to watch
