What a bike. A proper muscle bike. my dad exactly this back in 93 or 94. I was only 9 years old and started riding it when I was 14!! Nothing beats that pull from 7-9k these when derestricted are pretty much untouchable.
you all probably dont care but does someone know a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would love any assistance you can offer me
@Aaron Kamdyn Thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
D&D pipes out of Texas USA are very bad a$$. Have duals on a Ducati 900 SS/CR and sounds like a jet boat. People often offer to buy it on the spot. lol. Anyway, beautiful Gkxxer. I have 5 but ln,y 2 - 1100’s…..a 88 (black/red) and a 90 (black/silver). These days if you can find one, uh it and keep it. 🤙
I have a 1996 gsxr1100w with yoshimura 4-1 carbon. A big hole in the back (no decibel killer). It sounds like a big angry dog. I haven't been driving it for a couple of years now. I have to make it run again, flush the stale petrol away and do some other stuff to give it life again.
I had the L model for ten years and the WP for ten years . They both have their faults but the WP handled much better and I didn't have to fiddle around with tappets . The engine always sounded good unlike the oil cooled model which was in a different mood every time I pulled up at a junction . Check my channel for a walk around . Sorry no sound .
By the time the W models were being sold Suzuki had dropped any pretence that the 1100s were race reps, monster power (in some markets they were retricted tho) but heavy, they had become a very rapid sports tourer. Also theres a good reason why Suzuki used the GSX-R derived Oil/Air cooled engines in the GS 1200SS, GSX 1200, GSF, 1200 Bandit, and GSX 1400, its a superior engine. :-)
@@uhtred7860 I think you'll find the oil cooled ones could take modifications better. The prices of the L/M versions are more sort after than water cooled, especially blue and white ones
@@SalopianBivvyman True, two of my bikes have the Oil cooled motor in them. A 86 GSX-R 1100 G (in Blue and white) And a 01 GS 1200 SS. The 1100 is in the middle of a full restoration, and the 1200 has been painted to look like the GS1000R Yoshmura that Crosby/Cooley won the 1980 Suzuka 8 hour on. It has a Yoshi exhaust and the Head, Cams and carbs off a N model GSX-R as the original engine was restricted to 100 Hp, they respond so well to tuning though and the stock internals are bullet proof.

How do you derestrict them?
Bella questa SUZUKONA, in questa colorazione secondo me era la più bella. Saluti da Bubi di Adria
Sounds so good I’m getting the fever again at age 53

Thank you so much, you really help me out :D
@Phoenix Abram no problem xD
Real bikes..real beasts...tru beauty

Beautiful
Very Nice sound ! The yoshimura and akrapovic is the best aftermarket exhaust on these bikes. Check out my 98 gsxr 1100 with the akra full system 💪
I would add Arrow to that list, Igor Akrapovič once said he considered them the only competitor to his exhausts.

I easily could have listened to that for another 14-18 seconds.
hello, I have the same bike, but with OEM exhaust system, can you tell me the yoshimura model you use on yours?
PD: is really beautiful!
Suena insoportable😎😍😍😍😍ya tu sabes crema
Are you Mark Williams.. Motorcycle journalist..? Thanks 👍
Water cooled was never as good as oil cooled 1990 version. Still, a good bike if you can ride it to its full potential 👍
