Francisco, 🦁🐺🐻 in Ancient Times, Lions, Jackals, Wolves and Bears both lived in the Balkans and even far as Greece as much as during the Late Holocene about as 3rd or 5th Century BC, and they really met each other, Lions and Wolves are Carnivores, while Bears and Jackals are Omnivores.
The biggest Feline was a Monster and It was fascinated by Ancient Greeks, if Leopards, Tigers and Jaguars are members of genus "Panthera," the Lions are the Second largest Cat in the World- behind the Tiger, and they're king of all among the Big Cats and the title of their name "King Of The Beasts." Lions are the only members of the Cat Family usually lived and hunted in groups called Prides, in Eastern and Southern Africa, they could hunt and bring down Zebra, Buffalo, Antelope and Wildebeest.
But in Greece and other Balkan Countries, probably Further South as the Peleponnese, Lion Prides are little bit Large, Medium or Smaller than their East-Southern African Clade Counterparts and they could hunt Roe Deer, Red Deer, Wild Boar and Domestic Livestock, and they're Classified as the Panthera Leo Leo or the Northern Lion Subspecies- they're same as the Gir Forest of India, Caucasus, Iran and Middle East Clade and even Northern, Central and even West African populations. In the Balkans, these Big Cats were persecuted, hunted for fun by Humans, and competed by Feral Dogs. In Greek Mythology, the Monstrous Nemean Lion was fought by the Mighty Hercules. 😏🦁 The Lions were killed of in the Balkans, sad, dead and gone.
