Shenhe was the same thing "the character dont do or dont work with what I want it to do or want to work, so is "poorly designed"" but it ended being super good where she was supposed to work, the difference here is that Xianyun is actually universal from the beggining and have the potential to unlock more wide potential in other characters/comps
It's interesting some people debate whether furina or nahida is better, the answer is so simple, if you can only use one, furina is 100% chosen. Now practically every damage showcase team consist of furina, benny, and kazu. Furina have joined the ranks of the cool kids.

My nitpick on the banner is why they just don run Faruzan on Xiao's banner instead of Xianyun even if both are Xiao's bitches. Also I will now tell my past self to dont pull for C6 Faruzan during Wanderer/Kokomi banner (I got both banner characters)

Especially with the release of characters like furina and yelan. It’s ridiculously easy to just straight up ignore dendro. You could use a hypercarry like xiao on one half of the abyss and you’d still have access to characters like Bennett/Xiangling/Xingqui/fischl.
